  1. If the students grades were up to the standards I see no problem with his admission into Manual and the amt. of day it took i do not see the relvence b/c transfers can be a matter of hours in some cases. For example a student at Male is not happy and wants to attend their home school all they must do is tell an AP and they will contact the childs homeschool and the records will be transfered that day. I too have heard of students from outside of the county attending public schools (home schools) other than Manual I asked an AP at Male one day what the case was with this and they said any student outside of Jefferson Co. is welcome to attend but must pay tuition, but that is a rare case b/c many students want to attend school with the same friends they have grown up with and see no point in having to pay tuition to go to another public school that is just further away than their residing home school.
  2. It's true Male and Manual do pull from different parts of Louisville but no where else. Male is only allowed, sense it has become a TRADITONAL school, to only take kids who have graduated from the three TRADITONAL middle schools Johnson, TMS, and Barret no where else it is a total luck of the draw. And many parents through out Jefferson co. try to get their children into the traditional schoold system because it is more disciplined environment with consciquences that sometimes lead to exspelling of students who refuse to comform to the system. As far as Manual goes (manual people feel free to correct me) it is to my understanding every student who applies must go under academic review by the school administration who rule whether the students grades are adequit enough for them to attend there, making Manual a school for the academic elite. So you tell me where there is any signs of wrong doing in those practices.
  3. Well if you all would have been watchin the story on WHAS many of the public school athletes opposed that separation b/c beating an X or a Trinity makes victory that much sweeter with the advantage they have. And you are lieing if you say they do not have an advantage due to their ability to pull from anywhere in Jeff co. its neighboring counties and in Indiana while most of the public schools are stuck with kids that are within their home school district. It supports the theory of divide and conquer.
  4. I think you all are not giving Brian Anderson from Male enough credit. He lead Male to 4 7 on 7 championships this past summer at UofL, The Male Twight Tournament, Male's 7 on 7 tournament of Champions(or something like that), and the Univ. Illinois tournament. Male being a run first pass second type team keeps his stats just average but when it comes to airing it out he's as clutch as anyone in the state. Just look at his drive against Manual last year (no offence guys).
