  1. Yes I coach, and each parent gets a little white sheet prior to the season! If they don't like the way I do things, then take little Joey or Joanie home! I see that they got the best of you and guarantee that you probably started little Joey the next time after Bubba got in touch with you! Sorry, I could care less what parents think of the way I do things, you coach to win, in my book anyways! :thumb: And if you can't find enough businesses to help support your kids in a WHOLE REGION, then that says alot about the people from the area! :thumb:
  2. That is the main problem right now with parents and everyone else in everything in general. Nobody has enough backbone to say that your kid isn't good enough to play. Each coach could vote for 13 players and could not vote for his/her own. Flyers could be handed out to each team asking them if they would be interested and telling the kids what all there is to be done, such as traveling to say Hazard everyday in the 14th region. And the coaches could vote on the players who included there names in the running. There are plenty of people to sponsor teams, NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL! So enough about Peter, Larry and Billy. I guess that would be something that the 3 would have to decide on, that 1 in a billion major league contract or being chosen to represent your region in a statewide basketball tournament.
  3. Why don't the state of Kentucky have an All Region Team State Tournament? Consisting of Each Region playing the Tourney like the regular format is when you get to the Sweet 16? I think this would be fun for the kids to see where there Region stands among talent in the state and I think it would be GREAT for the fans! I know I would attend this every year. I know there is an East/West game. But narrowing it down from the Regions would make this alot more interesting. The proceeds could go toward scholarships or something or some charity. We could play this at Rupp/Memorial, wherever. But I think this would be AWESOME! Would just like to see what everyone thought about this idea and if we could push this to make this happen. :thumb:
  4. Should be a solid team once again next year! Wish them the best of luck!
  5. #2 is a fine ball player for Jackson City! I heard there top 7 players are Seniors? Any truth to that Roundleather 24?
  6. What the 14th doesn't have is that team with a target on there back like usual. Usually P.C.C. is the team, but like someone had mentioned earlier, 8-10 teams has a legitamate shot at winning it. And that is the first time in as long as I can remember!
  7. I know the Pikeville student fan section is a rude as they come! The tourney they held there I think the Pikeville Invitational, they would yell RUDE remarks at players as they were warming up. If I was a player, I think I would have made a BAD pass while warming up! This kinda behavior to me is ridiculous! I respected alot of those players because I coach against them in football, but seeing "HOW THEY REALLY ACT" sure changed that. I bet if Belfry was warming up you wouldn't see the same kind of action from them! I know they sure didn't say anything to Cov. Holmes when they were warming up, just like I thought they wouldn't when I seen they had to play them!
  8. Nice compliments Roundleather24? Where did you sit? I said this in an earlier thread, Jackson City had the best atmosphere and the best fans of any game that I had been to in 10 years! GREAT school spirit which seems to be what all schools lack anymore! It felt like a regional championship game! And the news that they announced at the end of the game seems to be really looking up for the small school! Jackson City showed great sportsmanship as well!
  9. Guy's??? How about GIRL'S looked great, lol...kidding cheerfan! East Ridge seems to be playing good ball right now! Shelby Valley didn't impress me at the Schoolboy Classic! It doesn't look like anyone wants to be out there besides the 8th grader!
  10. Jenkins played sloppy shooting themselves in the foot! Have to say that it was a great atmosphere as Jackson City has the best school support that I have seen in 10 years. They need to build a new gym though...Shoulder to shoulder and knee to knee. If 1 person had to go somewhere then the entire row would have to get up! #1 is Chris Puckett. He is a sophomore. #33 is Tyler Little.
  11. How can a High School be a High School without a football team. Come on people who are in the right places at Magoffin, get it together and put a little time and effort into what the students, parents and residence of Magoffin want! Hope everything works out!
  12. Jenkins will be decent next year. Was a good game last year. Beder is a great person and a good coach and has brought life back to the K.C.C. program!
