Excellent choice, best of luck to coach McKillip!

Great day to be a Buckeye!

To clarify I am sad that there are no people aged 40+ in the house, not former houseguests.
I thought the same thing, but I guess America would rather watch young twenty something’s in bikinis rather than 40+ with beer bellies such as me. Can’t say that I blame them though.

Instead of nitpicking I will just do my own:
1. Trinity- 8 State Titles in 10 years.. the other two years there is a strong case they may have been the 2nd best team in the entire State.. 1 Runner-Up
2. Highlands- 7 Titles in 10 years... consistently the 3rd or even possibly 2nd best team in the entire state regardless of class...1 Runner-Up
3. St. Xavier- Only 2 Titles.. but that number would be tripled or quadrupled if not for the #1 team...3 Runner-Ups
4. Central- 5 State Championships in 10 years, with those 5 Titles coming in the last 6 years.
5. Newport Central Catholic- 4 Champonships in last 10 years,2 Runner-Ups... no small school has seen the success of the Breds.
6. Boyle County- 3 State Titles and a Runner-Up in 10 years...a couple down years..but by and large right at the top of the pack every year
7. Bowling Green- 2 State Titles, 3 Runner-Ups in 10 years... consistently the premier program in WKY.
8. Belfry- 2 State Titles, 4 Runner-Ups in 10 years... If not for Central Pirates would have one of the best runs in the State with 6 State Finals in 10 years
9. Mayfield- 2 State Titles, 3 Runner-Up in 10 years... emerging as the premier 1A program in the State.
10. Ft. Campbell- 3 State Titles... Falcons got off the mat in a big way winning 3 straight titles
11. Beechwood- 3 State Titles... once the premier 1A program and a Top 3 Dynasty the Tigers have fallen on a bit of a slump as Mayfield has emerged
12. LexCath- 2 State Titles.. Knights would have had a lot more success if not for teams liek Boyle and Highlands being geographically close
13. Hazard- 1 State Title, 2 Runner-Ups... Bulldogs have emerged as a perennial 1A contender
14. Bell County- 1 State Title.. One of the winningest teams over the past decade..yet only one Finals to show for it
15. Covington Catholic- 1 State Title... whoa are the Colonels with a Bluebird for a District mate.
Amazing how some first hand knowledge and common since improves the list. :thumb:

Mayfield, Central, Beechwood, Fort Campbell, Danville, Belfry, and Paducah Tilgman should all be on the list before some that are listed. Did they use the BCS computers to figure this out?
-
If both Williams and Luke return they should have a good core to build their offense around, but I’m curious to see how the coaching changes affect the offensive schemes the Falcons have ran the past decade.
Starting off the season with Mayfield should give us a good indication of where the Falcon's are.
The force reductions aren’t supposed to happen until 2017, so any impact won’t occur for a few years.

Wow, what a shock to see this. My deepest condolences to Joey’s family and friends. After joining BGP as a fan of Fort Campbell Westsider schooled me real quickly on a few of my facts and I came to have great respect for his opinion and posts. RIP Joey, you will be sorely missed.

Agree. The prospect of earning below median income while being judged on standardized test scores from students who many of which have little to no parenting at home is not an occupation that rates high on the list. Regardless of the pay, if academics and discipline isn’t stressed at home, then there’s going to be problems in our schools, particularly our public schools. I looked into becoming a teacher a few years ago when I was contemplating what to do after the military. The pay was 25% - 50% less than what I could make with other opportunities and the two teachers I talked to said don’t do it. My wife drives a school bus and the behavior she puts up with on a daily basis is awful.

I think it has a lot more to do with the cultural and societal focus on education and resources than it does Ethnicity.

Ohio State Football!

I really enjoyed this episode of 30 for 30. It is ironic that the 84 NC State team lost in the first round of the NIT, the last defending champion team to do so until this year.

I hate to hear this, but I wish all the best to Coach Berner and his family.

Is there a local radio broadcast of the game? If so, please send tune in info.

Didn't PT do it in 2008 or 2009?
-
I think FC takes care of business and advances to face the winner of PT v MC. South Warren is an up and coming program, but I don't think this is the year they make the Regional Finals.
-
If both teams bring their A game it should be one heck of a game. If either team doesn’t it could get ugly. I would like to see each team win for different reasons. As a Fort Campbell fan I’ve rooted for MC since FC played there in 08, but I would also like to see FC have home field next week. Either way, it should be a good game this week and next. I’m going to go with MC based on home field advantage and the long bus ride for PT, but you never know which PT is going to show up.

Jade Helm 9-state Military Exercise
in Controversial Issues

Or it could just be a large military exercise in the Southwest US since the terrain is very similar to the terrain they have been fighting in for the past 30 years.
