The underclassmen of Beechwood such as Prewitt,Cruse,Vocke, are they key for the tigers.
What makes you think any one of these three players will help the varsity out? Let us hear your train of thought on this one Mr. Banner!

Have you watched this young man practice this season?
Nope just going by history. Lets reevaluate this comment come christmas break, and when times start to get tough for Bellevue over the winter. Hope I am wrong, he has talent and the new coach could sure use a senior like him to be an example for the younger players to learn from, but I won't hold my breathe expecting him to change his stripes.

The answer to this question is easy! Who really cares!

Bellevue and Beechwood will be a battle. Shoould be a great game to watch.

3 juniors on offense and 1 on defense! Bellevue better get-r-done is right!
-
The staff and facilities are in place now the kids and supporters for the program have to step up and help put it all together, and if and when they do watch out 2a football!

Heard thru the grape vine Quan is healthy enough to play! Hey Bucket is that true? Is that why you are acting like a sly old fox on here?
-
Heard something about that, Too bad they have lost some good athletes this year to the injury bug.
-
The kids that are playing for Beechwood at the varsity level now have also gone undefeated in the JV level the last two years. They also played every night in practice against the players who Beechwood lost, so until someone acually beats a Shumate lead Beechwood team in DIII, I will stick with the tigers, but the competetion should be a little better this year!

Do the people on here picking Brossart know something nobody else does about the game?
-
Last years Gallantin team had a good athlete playing quaterback. Did he go somewhere to play or what is he doing this year?

Isn't the field at Bellevue a diferent type of grass that requires it to get very warm to grow well? I heard that it never really grew well in the middle of the field this year so the root system never took and it is a mess.

Well, since I haven't seen him take any snaps I guess the answer to your posed question is "yes."
Why is this turning into an issue? I'm sure he'll play a lot next season. Heck, who knows - he could still get time the rest of this year and the playoffs. Like a lot of kids, its essentially up to him as to how hard he works and prepares.
I just watch the game. I don't try to be the coach.
Clyde, there is no issue. This discussion started when I simply pointed out that it was interesting that two players who I understood to be two of the CCH varsity's best players were playing in the JV game against Highlands. In subsequent posts, I stated why I made that assumption and gave a link to the Enquirer article to back it up. You (and others) have stated that that is not the case. So be it. Best of luck to your team and to those young men.

In my earlier post I said this game would be a war. I am wrong. Although Bellevue is a much better team than in years past, I believe that Beechwood has too many weapons on offense and their speed is extremely dangerous, mud or not. Beechwood wins big.

The CCH website lists the email addresses of all faculty including the head football coach. We're not privvy to day-to-day goings on so only he can tell you. I'll defer to him.
So........ you're sticking to your story that Shumate doesn't play varsity and that's why he played in the JV game against Highlands?
-
While I don't know the reasons I do know that Adam has not played hardly at all other than late-game 2nd team situations for the last 4 or 5 weeks.
Thanks, and I'll just have to take your word for it, Clyde. I didn't realize there were two Connaughtons, my mistake. As for Shumate, sorry for questioning it, but I do find it hard to believe that, as you say, CCH doesn't play him on varsity any more, based on what I saw in the Ryle and Beechwood games, based on what I've heard of him from others (some of them CCH parents), and based on what Shumate's Spartans' coach said about him to me and others at the Ryle game. Why did the Enquirer list him as a "player to watch"? Also, I checked your roster on your website, and Shumate is listed as a 6'4", 190 lb. linebacker/tight end. In another thread, you said CCH was struggling on defense. If he isn't playing, as you say, why doesn't CCH have room for a 6'4", 190 lb. player at linebacker? Sorry for my skepticism, it just doesn't add up.

Bellevue has no chance friday night. According to Beechwood fans the wine and cheese party will start on Beechwood Avenue at half time. :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:
