Why. HS baseball teams travel all over during spring break and HS basketball teams do the same during Christmas break, What's the difference?
First thing that comes to mind is the number of playerrs

Fort Thomas had Trick or Treat. Everyone seemed pretty safe to me. Just sayin.
-
Maybe placing the scoreboard where visibility is best in the stands is by design. Meaning that they are hoping those who stand along the sideline area by concession will now sit in the stands. It does get pretty crowded and congested in that area.

There was originally 5 boys that were going to play for HHS but several backed out due to summer jobs, etc.
-
Highlands will have Mitchell Dee and Jake Heck.
-
My guess is Highlands will not have anyone playing but I may be wrong.
A kid has to just be obsessed with the game, has some unfinished business, or is still trying to catch a coaches eye late in the recruiting season to play in this game imo.
As Clyde stated, I would advise any kid playing college to forgo this game and FWIW most if not all colleges are done recruiting at this point.
If the sponsors of this game or the fans of this game want to really see it become a "must play" event then they need to play it before Xmas imo.
I think there are several Highlands kids playing.

I have watched Q play since he was in first grade and always knew he was going to be an exceptional baseball player. Congrats!!!!
-
He is being honored at the Football Banquet this Sunday.
-
There is one Highlands player in Honorable Mention. Crazy!!!
-
Congratulations to all, especially McCoy, Dee and Hope.

It appears #92 had two penalties. Watch #92 him come all the way across the field.
-
Game Cancelled! I believe Schroder forfeited.
-
McCoy plays O.

That has zero to do with the thread, but thanks for your contribution.
no problem

It's the same opinion every year. And it never comes to be. You can by all means be optimistic. Just don't be disappointed when they fall short, just like they do every year.
I root for Michigan, so my bashing of Notre Dame has nothing to do with the fact that they've never had any real success in my lifetime, and everything to do with the unnecessary love affair the media and fans have with the program.
Sounds like UK basketball

As a parent of three sons who have played Basketball, Football, and Baseball at HMS and HHS I feel its a matter of commitment. Each sport is now requiring more of a commitment from the player. Whether that be off season conditioning, playing on AAU, etc. For my middle son who is at a cross roads with playing baseball knows that if he wants to see the football field as a starter( O-lineman) his Jr. year he will probably not play baseball. He knows he needs to commit only to Football so he can get stronger and quicker. Which won't happen on the baseball field.
We are also forgetting the most important commitment they have and thats academics. Always comes first! There were several spring school nights when we wouldn't get home from a baseball game until 10 ish and would still have homework or have football practice until 7 ish, come in eat dinner take a shower and be up doing homework until 11:00. Again its all about how committed you are to be your best at any sport.

Notre Dame President John Jenkins sent a letter to all students , staff, and alumni saying "I am confident Coach Kelly has a bright future leading our football program...looks like he is staying around
-
Im thinking there are some very talented Sophmores and Juniors that will get in before the Frosh. Hopefully the JV plays the whole 2nd half.
-
Kelly and the AD should be fired and prosecuted. They're negligance and irresponsiblity cost a young man his life. I know it won't bring him back but I hope they go to jail and the family ends up owning ND!
do you thinks that is what the kid who loved the university and football team more than anything would have wanted

its not a crime it was a freak accident

After the game, one of the Dads from Scott County came up to us and stated he thought it was really great that we brought so many fans. He congratulated us on the win and made some very nice comments about several of our players. I think he felt bad about the way a few of Scott County's parents behaved. Also, there was one HHS Mom that felt her son was getting verbally abused and walked down to the sideline with 2 fathers to check it out. It really had no factor on the game! It was a beautiful day for football and HHS came out Victorious. Go Birds

Yeah, tell me about it. It's a shame that they are under contract with the local bottler. They don't have the luxury of going to the grocery and picking up a case of water for .20cents a bottle and for a bigger bottle. It is a rip off all across the board really. Oh well, maybe we can get a new score board out of them. The bottler that is.
Jr. Football buys from the same local bottler and we don't buy our water from them. I would say that you should renegotiate your contract. Thats crazy to charge $1.50 for a small water.:madman:

Notre Dame cancels 2013 game with Army due to "scheduling conflicts".... or because they needed room for some Big Ten conference games
2014 NKY East/West Allstar Game

Both players for HHS last year were starters. Both players started both their Jr. and Sr. year. Dale sent 3 other players but had other comittment (baseball I think).
