Can't Alonzo play 3rd? Rolen is nearing the end of his career so why not wait a year or so and play him at 3rd?
-
Yay were gonna have like 10 super teams in 5 years then the rest average.
What is the difference in the past? Only 7 different teams have won the championship since 1983. 27 years and only 7 teams have won it (Celtics-3, Lakers-8, Spurs-4, Heat-1, Pistons-3, Bulls- 6, Rockets- 2). Yes teams have made runs and been good for a short period of time (Cavaliers are a good example) but there has not really been that much variety of winning.

I think they would accept something with Odom in it if the Lakers are part of that.

Alright, so here's my take on the whole situation.
First off I know there are many websites stating evidence of a hoax, and I know that there are just as many debunking the hoax but even then how do we know what the truth is.
NO ONE actually seen those men on the moon and I mean no one. Unless you were on the moon with them then I don't want to hear anyone say they seen it happen. Does everyone really believe everything they see on tv? Yes the Apollo took off from the ground but that doesn't mean it actually landed on the moon does it?
In the years of prep and actually launch date it cost around $25 billion for the Apollo project, that's a pretty steep price just to land on a rock before the Soviet Union. Since that time NASA has planned 3 more trips since then and all have been canceled due to lack of money. I find it hard to believe that NASA couldn't come up with some sponsor money and all of these television deals to help generate the money. It seems funny that they announce this stuff about going and the closer it gets they cancel.
Also, the Soviet Union had launched the spy satellite and Americans freaked out so the American government put together this whole elaborate hoax of landing on the moon to try and "unite Americans" together and it actually worked.
I'm going to talk about the picture evidence now, and I know there are many testimonials debunking each picture.
*There should have been a larger crater in the moon than what there was. I know the moon is a giant rock but the blast from the shuttle should have made some kind of dent.
*Why is the flag waving for? There is no gravity, nor wind on the moon. I read one thing that said the astronauts touched the flag but in all the videos I've watched they didn't "touch" it after they spiked it in the ground. The ripple effect would not have been that smooth.
Now onto the whole "we taped over the moon landing". Are you serious NASA, you all actually taped over the only original video footage from the Apollo mission. This just provides more controversy for NASA that this happens.
What about Buzz refusing to swear on a bible that he actually walked on the moon. Now I know some of you will say that he didn't have to prove anything but if I landed on the moon and I knew I did then I'd have absolutely no problem with putting my hand on the bible and saying so.
I'll have more later but this is it for now. I'm not saying we could never land on the moon but I am saying it's hard to believe that we did in 1969, I don't believe the technology was there and I believe it was a quick setup by the government to lower the concerns put on by the Soviet Union.
Actually Mythbusters did a segment on this, they even went to Nasa to the vaccuum they have there. Because there is no air or gravity, if you move it at all it will wave like that or something like that. You will have to watch it, I can't explain it fully.

My favorite subway: Footlong Meatball Sub, lettuce, ranch, chipotle southwest sauce, onions, banana peppers.
Usually I stick to the PB&J though.

Arroyo
Cueto
Volquez
Leake
Wood
I am in favor of a 6 man rotation with all these young guys so either Harang or Maloney.

I will be going to 5 guys for the first time tomorrow, we will see.

Beasley does not necessarily have to leave Miami if this happens. They will sign their second round draft picks (Dexter Pittman, Jarvis Varnado, DeSean Jackson) and they would most likely try to get some older players. Their second round draft picks are really good imo. Beasley and Chalmers would be good as well. They would win a championship mark it down.

I'm actually kind of glad he's gone. He was BY FARRRRRRRRRRRR my least favorite player on last years team.
He and Dodson...
-
Marty is the man, the best baseball broadcaster IMO
The Cowboy is probably my least favorite person on television
Tom Brenaman is decent at best
Chris Wells is one I actually like
George Grande I loved as well
-
He is a more athletic Randolph Morris with less offensive skills.
-
The fans have the chance to make him an All-Star by voting on him for the last spot.
-
Howard and Gonzalez made it over him. Votto is having arguably the best season by any first baseman.
-
Drunken Jacks is probably my favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach.

Nets
Devon Harris
Joe Johnson
LeBron James
Derrick Favors
Brook Lopez
Bulls
Derrick Rose
LeBron James
Lou Deng
Chris Bosh
Joakim Noah
Or he could team up with Wade in Miami. I still think Dirk would fit perfectly with LeBron but I doubt he will leave. Both of those look really good. I say he signs with the nets.

Very good CD. I have been listening to it since it came out and it is very good.
-
Everyone talks about Bosh, but I think Dirk would be a better fit with LeBron.
-
I'd have rather they gave up Deng instead of Hinrich. Also I think they needed both for sign and trade deals that LeBron and especially Bosh will want. Nice lineup but my goodness get some else to go with them.
People thought that with the Celtics a few years ago that they had nobody to go with the big 3, but it turned out alright because players stepped up into roles.

2 more championships and it will be Kobe.

In no way is a punch a restraining technique. He should be fired. He has other methods instead of punching someone in the face. They should both be arrested for that, but the punch in the face is horrible.

I was working Orientation for NKU and we had to take the new students at orientation to the halls because of the tornado. Pretty scary having 300 people lining the walls of one hall way.
-
I am a HUGE Kobe fan, but Jordan is better.

Okay we tear a lot of threads apart going back and forth on Dusty Baker and some of his moves so I started this thread just to have some discussion on Dusty Baker. Personally I think he is a terrible manager and will be replaced by management when his contract is up regardless of the outcome of this season. I think he is a terrible handler of pitchers both starters and relievers. I hate his Sunday lineup which is usually a day game after a night game in which he will rest as many as 3 starters at one time. What is wrong with giving an older veteran a day off during the week instead of waiting until Sunday to rest them all? I don't think he knows how to play small ball. He rarely starts runners and apparently never instructs hitters to give base stealing threats a couple of pitches to steal a base. I don't know the numbers but I think the Reds hit into an awful lot of double plays especially at the bottom of the order. In Dusty's defense I think that even though there were a lot of runners picked off base earlier in the year they do go first to third better than any team in baseball. Dusty seems to get along great with the players but I think that he let's the inmates run the asylum on occasion. I don't see a consistent amount of hustle from some guys, Gomes and Stubbs excluded.
Dusty's fault?
Joey Votto, NL MVP?
in Major League Baseball (MLB)

It might be a little early to talk about this, but he definately deserves it. .
.322 batting average (1st in NL)
119 hits (10th in NL)
27 home runs (2nd in NL)
72 RBI (5th in NL)
74 runs (5th in NL)
If he keeps it up and doesn't ge injured and the Reds make the playoffs, I think he deserves it for sure.
