Sounds like David Vs. Goliath here...
...and I think that we all know how that turned out.
-
Thats a very well designed site, nice job!

"When they get the football players back I think this team will to be very competitive."
Besides Matthew Taylor, what other football players will be joing the basketball team?
-
If thats the case then their opponents should invest in a good mouthpiece and practice their free throws...I expect a hit you in the mouth team from Bell. Could be as physical as anyone in a long time from the 52nd. -
...or a dedicated "homer".LCA runs 3 plays, and 42 seconds runs off.Only an idiot running the clock allows that to happen.
-
Thanks and a great job on the updates.
-
1. Clay
2. Bell
3. Knox Central
4. Whitley
5. South Laurel
6. Corbin
7. Everybody Else
-
The boosters hold up there end in taking care of the boys. Their is no support from the adm. in Bell County. It's not really a financial situation.
Exactly what does this mean?
-
Thanks for the score updates...keep'em coming.
-
Blazer, I believe that South, Corbin, and Whitley will be a battle each and every time they play this year. Home court may be the only advantage each team enjoys this year.
-
Will Whitley have any size or will they be heavy in the guard dept just like their district rivals South Laurel and Corbin?
-
Looks like South will not have too much to worry about within its District as all 4 teams seem to be heavy in the guard dept. and lack size.
-
My first guess is Todd Messer at Clinton County.
My first guess is another current 13th region coach.
-
Alice Lloyd College absolutely got a steal! Congrats! Isaac.
All those weekends that you traveled to Louisville, Lexington, Florence and others while having to "rough it" at the Marriot and Hyatt with Coach Farris, paid off.:lol:
-
Since noone else mentioned him, what about Ryan Fucci from Tates Creek?
-
When Big Cuz shows up for a game next season at RUPP, he will bring the house down when he cruises out to midcourt to be the "Y". And rightfully so.
Good Luck to you big man, we're proud of you and hope that you consider KY your home now.

My prediction would be a (4) guard, (1) center lineup. Sanders, Huff, Smith, _?_ and Tabor as starters. Will any of the big kids be factors next year, such as Brashear or Messer? I know that Tabor played a lot down the stretch, so I'm guessing that he will start along with Sanders and Huff. How do Khan and Smith who I believe will be seniors fit in? Who else may be in the rotation out of the following, Hale, Sears, Brown, Clontz & Slavey? -
I believe you hit the nail on the head..."parent talk". South will be like Corbin, gaurd heavy. I actually give Corbin the nod in that dept over South. South's inside players have very little (if any) experience except for Tabor, who did see some minutes each game when St John was out.I was told that they have some kids who will be sophomores that are a lot more talented than some of the upperclassmen who either started or received serious minutes last season.I know they return Huff, Tabor, Sanders, Khan(is he still playing?), Brashear and Clontz along with a couple of sophomores to be who they say will probably start. Could just be parent talk I guess, how good was their freshman team this year?
-
Besides hope, what has changed at South that would give anyone a reason to move them up in the rankings/ expectations? Do they have a transfer or new student that will have a positive impact for them next season? I personally see Corbin, South, and Whitley as a virtual tie for 4th after 1. Clay 2. Bell 3. Knox CentralI think that after talking to some South Laurel fans that they may be a little higher than #5, either at #3 or #4, passing Corbin and possibly Knox Central. -
Here ya go HDE .... mine is close to the same ...
I can understand and appreciate your optimism for the Hounds next year but as they say in Las Vegas..."Bet with your head, not over it".
-
Ok I'm curious now what have you heard?
Just a guess but Id bet one of those transfers is a coach from one 13th region school to another 13th region school. Am I right, Les?:sssh:

Retrofitting RUPP with luxury boxes and new seating is a much better along with a new video/ score board to replace the "Big Bertha" speaker monstrocity. A new ribbon video/ message board surrounding the arena between the upper and lower levels will be nice too. The net loss of about 2000 seats will be offset 10 fold by booster revenue from the luxury boxes. This can all be done at 1/6 th cost of a new Arena not counting the 2-3 years of construction hassle and limited parking.

Jimmy has his querks but we could have it alot worse...Billy Packer or Bobby Night (UK Haters) comes to mind for starters.
-
what about UK signee, Sara Barnette. I seen somewhere in the last day or two that she was the Player of the Year. Im confused. Has Ms Basketball been announced or is Barnette Ms Basketball?
