  1. McCloud and Griffith are both as good as Yeast thats not the point. The point is that McCloud and Griffith werent running the ball as strong as Yeast. Thats why he got so many carries not as punishment to the other 2 backs but because he was running hard. All the backs are goin to have to do job that is correct not just a selected one for the game but if somebody does the job and gets it done why not let him do the job again and again until he doesnt get the job done?

  2. Agreed Buster and Horn both stepped it up... cant wait to see what they will do vs Lincoln! The backfield looked decent Jordan Yeast had a great game he was clicking that night the others werent as much. Dont get me wrong they are all good but tonight was Jordan's game. Congratulations on the W good luck next week Vs. Lincoln. They seem to have a pretty decent team

  3. I must say that it is great to see the community and parents rally around the team like they do. I know the players truly appreciate it and are proud to be Titans and that is a feeling felt all the way down to the newly merged middle school. I'm proud to just know a few Titans and their families, I can only imagine the pride that the actual Titans and their families have.

Something special definitely happened here last year with football. We have the same excitement and young players ready to show what they can do. An awesome coaching staff to lead the way!

  4. I was at the complex today and it looked like they were working on it while I was there. I know one of the guys commented that Mercer was going to pay too much for a sign when the guy insinuated that he got it done for $22.00. Sounds like Mercer got a heck of a deal on the stencil. Good luck on Friday.

I think it was few of our football booster dads working on the stencil. I'm sure they will be busy tomorrow painting. We've been fortunate to have some parents always around and willing to help do anything you ask.

  5. I did some research and this is what I found out about the Greeneville High School Green Devils are out of Eastern Tennessee (between Pigeon Forge and Bristol)

-They are a Class 4A school in TN, with an enrollment of over 1,100

-Checking past records, they have floated right around .500, going 4-6 last year.

-They just hired a new head coach this year out of Asheville, NC. He won a state championship with his school in NC for the 2006 season. Apparently Greeneville went after him pretty serious, paying him a six-figure salary, boosters buying him a brand new truck, no teaching classes, etc.

-won 21-7 last week over Jefferson County HS (another 4A school)

-Offensively, they run the spread and look very good doing it.

  6. :thumb: Yea what he said!

As for quarterback.....Boyle's best chance to win is with Perry at quarterback. Perdue is no dummy when it comes to running a offence. If his job is on the line, he will be placing the players in a position to get the most out of this team. The only fault I see is the schedule needs to be somewhat easier a couple of weeks. Nothing against playing tuff competition, but a few wins can do wonders.

:thumb: Agreed Boyle has one of the toughest schedules in the state!

  7. D was good in some areas and bad in others. The LBs shared a lot of tackles. We'll be hard to run against. However, we did have a real hard time containing the QB. It was like Lloyd a couple of years ago. Eveytime it looked like we had him for a loss, he left someone tackling air. McCloud had an interception. Hunter Robinson returned a fumble for a TD, I think he forced the fumble also but I'm not sure. We're bigger this year than last year, but we're not as athletic.

I believe it was #22 Nick Reed that caused the fumble. I think several players were a little flat, but all in all - it was the first game, room for improvement but I expect a good season from this team. There are a lot of players ready to step up that didn't get the opportunity last year.
