Monroe had more talent than their record showed last year. They just sort of threw the towel in it looked like. Very tough district again this year. Green returns all of their main cogs and Glasgow should have a very good team. Don't count Harbison's Hornets out either. So Monroe may be better but could still find themselves in the cellar. Good luck to everyone.

Rob Jones is an excellent coach and has taken some McCreary teams to the region that shouldn't have made it. How much size did the Raiders have this year? Is that his fault too that his whole team is 6'0 and under? Point is - if the man couldn't coach they would not have won 24 ballgames. He didn't just forget how to coach because it was the first round of the district. Southwestern's players made more plays....end of story.

5th Region is much tougher than 12th as a whole. More athletes. Proved that in the state tournament last year when Adair County's underclassmen spanked Lincoln County's juniors and seniors.
