Agreed, but I can't see that happening. That's not Listerman ball.
How is that not Listerman ball?

I think that Sorrell and Ives will do better than people think.
I think they will step up to the plate and play well their senior season. But Shover is the only person with a lot of varsity expierence. What will the starting 5 be?
-
There are some really good players from Nky. Thelen from CovCath. He is a 6'5'' jumpshooter. And Trammel from Dixie will get a lot of playing time on varsity this year.
-
If you can shoot and you're 6'5'' you can play.
Thelens are tall. Any chance he's still growing?
I have heard that he is going to be around 6'8''.
-
Im sorry but this doesnt sound like 9th Region championship material. Coach L better get his x's and o's in order and hope they play as a unit.
Who would be your starting 5? And your 6th and 7th man?
-
There will be 2 or 3 Sopohmore's for CCH looking into some varsity clock this year as well.
-
Yes Guru, fortunately Brad is alright. His diagnosis was a severe spinal bruise. Although he will never be able to play football again their is a bright spot, and that is that he will still be able to play baseball. My Thoughts and Prayer's go out to that young man's family.
-
The source I've heard it from is almost 100% sure that He is considering it. I'm not sure why he would be though, aside from the fact CCH is slowly going down hill in football.:madman:
-
What's that? Highlands??
-
I've heard possibly Beechwood. He has been out this season with a shoulder injury, but in my opinion would've made a significant difference on the defensice side of the ball for CCH.
-
Word on the street is that CCH Sophomore RB and LB Leo Schaefer is wanting to transfer? Any thoughts?

1. Mitch Shover
2. Alex Ives
3. Jordan Counts
4. Trevor Wellbrock
5. Zach Isler/Jake Thelen
-
Isler is out 6-8 weeks with a broken fibula. That is unfortunate for such a good player.
-
I think he has a good shot. He has been playing very good lately.
-
Who is Thelen? I have never heard of him..young guy?
Thelen is a sophmore. Last time i heard he was about 6'5'' and weighed about 210 pounds. he will help Cov Cath a lot this year.
-
Trevor Wellbrock has potential. However, he's going to need to get more aggressvie and more involved. I noticed what seemed to be a passive nature at the JV level. If he can get that fire in his belly he will be a force inside.
I'd look for Ice to have a solid year. I've never noticed a lot of post moves but what I did notice is a propensity to use his size and strength to get offensive rebounds. His aggressiveness bodes well for him and hopefully it will rub off on Trevor.
Do you think Thelen and Wellbrock will be the starting 4 and 5? Counts at the 3 spot maybe?
-
Thelan was not even the third best big man in the sophomore group in the 9th. Trevan Brown of Boone County, Bobby Stauffer of Ryle and Joey Allen of Holy Cross were all better than Thelan. I would even put some power forwards in the sophomore group ahead of Thelan as well. He is a nice player, but he does not have the skills and size to replace Maile that is just a bad comparison.
Thelen was one of the best players if not the best. I see him playing all varsity this year
-
Schaefer for CCH is currently hurt. He tore ligaments in his shoulder and will be out for 3-5 months I'm pretty sure, he was starting Outside LB for varsity too, bummer.
-
CCH is extremely strong and experienced, I'm sure that will make up for there lack of speed. They will be tremendously tough this year. Highlands is coming off one of their best seasons in school history and I'm sure they will be tough to stop. Although I think CCH will come out on top, JMO,
-
I'll take Ice from CCH. I don't know how he is not the best Qb with the kind of O-line he has.
-
What about Corbin Dematteo, do you think he will have any impact on the DHHS varsity squad?
-
Much respect to jbwill.
-
Yeah, and I heard CCH is ready to go and has been preparing them the whole off season. CCH is very very big and will be hard to beat.:ylsuper::dancingpa:D

It was a tough battle thru and thru. N. Hopkins had a break early when a receiver went un-covered into the endzone. Late in the 4th sophmore reciever Alex Connelly for the colonels scored. In OT N. Hopkins scored. Pat Van Sant then scored. In 2 OT Mat Yung threw an interception. Then 3 plays later N. Hopkins kicked a game winning field goal
