  1. First off Madison Central has to be the favorite heading into the 11th region, but I'll say this. Madison Central is classless. Central was still pressing Southern with 2 minutes to go in the game. I hope you lose in the first round of the region Madison Central. You coaching staff deserves for you to get beat when you are up 30 on a team a minutes into the 3rd quarter and you press them the entire second half.

I don't know what game you were watching. Central pulled its starters with 12 minutes left in game. They also called press off in 3rd quarter.

  8. Game story from the Ledger Independent:

In the girls’ game, Ashland’s size advantage proved to be too much for the Lady Royals to overcome. The Kittens’ 6-foot center Katelyn Conner was a force in the post, grabbing 16 rebounds and scoring a game-high 26 points, many of those coming as second and third chance points off offensive rebounds.

Mason County’s Keller Menke had a big game as well, scoring 23 points to go with 13 rebounds. After the Lady Royals got off to a slow start and fell behind 9-2, Menke almost singlehandedly helped the team keep pace by scoring all 11 of Mason County’s first quarter points.

Menke capped a 6-0 Lady Royal run with a bucket that gave Mason County its only lead at 18-17 in the second quarter, but like the boys’ game, the girls’ contest ultimately turned on a big run. The Kittens closed the first half on a 9-2 run, then scored the first eight points of the second half with Conner providing six of them.

By the time the Kittens’ 17-2 spurt was done, the score was 35-20. Mason County would spend the rest of the game clawing back, but wouldn’t get any closer than a six point margin in the closing seconds.
