  1. The coach has had years of success with Corbin, what would Corbin accomplish by firing him after one down season. He is in a much different district now, if the people of Corbin are too short sighted to see this they are in for a lot of years of disappointment. Just ridiculous to hear this kind of talk.

  2. Hazard played a very, very weak schedule....do it every year....must beef schedule up bigtime if going to compete on the state level in finals and semi-finals....

Hazard played Corbin, Breathitt and LCA. They beat last year's winners and beat them. Being state runner up is pretty dang good! Hazard seemed off in the game to me. They were driving the ball first two drives and those fumbles seemed to suck the air out of them.

  3. One of the saddest times is the end of football season your senior year in High School. 4 years of sweat, blood, and tears have gone by in a flash. I want to recognize this year's senior class at Williamsburg. No one gave you a chance this year. Everything had graduated the previous year. 3rd in the district if you were lucky. 4 wins at best were the pre season pundits expectataions. What a year you guys had in proving so many "experts" wrong. An eyelash fron the region championship game, hot summer days, laughter, "one family one goal" ringing in our ears. Through tears I write thanking you guys for making my life better. You will never know the lives you touched in this small town this year. Andrew Root - we watched you grow into a man, you were the best offensive lineman, and linebacker in the district, you truly showed "Jacket Pride" this year. Cody Perkins- you played with boundless passion and never failed to rev up the fans. Brent Martin-you were an inspiration as you battled with health issues and always were so happy to be out there. Chris Wright - you were everybody's cheerleader, you may not have played alot, but you were a vital cog. Travis Thomas - you proved everyone wrong, you stayed with it and turned into a tough son of a gun. Ethan Powers - you made something of your self this year, build on that foundation as you become a man. Chris Lowrie - After the broken leg last year you played heart and soul. I'm proud of you and you turned out to be a dang good DB. JP Payne - Son if you're not all state its a travesty. Big catch after big catch..wow. CJ Jones - what if you hadn't been injured? Wow the catches you made against Fairview made us all wish for more. Dylan Abner - wish you hadn't waited til your sr. year to play, you worked hard into a starting job and what a year you had. I hope I didn't leave anyone out but if I did let me say thanks to them as well...You kids made this old man proud....YOU ALL A GREAT EXAMPLES OF WHAT "TEAM" MEANS!!! Jacket Pride,,,,"ONE FAMILY ONE GOAL" Thanks for the meories, I love you all.

    Good Post!

  4. Atta Boy cnc78 :ylsuper::ylsuper:, I know that I can speak for all our guys and say you are more than welcome in RamLand anytime. Thank you for your well wishes and we hope that you guys go get Fairview tonight :thumb:.

I will also be changing my prediction on your game bc the way the people at Fairview h.s. are talking they are "going to do something special" and "we can't wait to get to LCA ", , that one was after LCA beat them just around 3 weeks ago. Those were just a couple of examples amoung many other comments to the same all season.......the Headlines on Saturday morning will read "Williamsburg stuns Fairview, upsets the Mighty Eagles"!!

    Williamsburg 27

    Fairview 24

I hope that Raceland can get this one tonight over a favored LCA team and our Rams will be playing the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets for the regional title next friday night. Good luck to you again, :thumb:

  5. Any other sport crown more than 2 state champions? Most sports only have 1 state champion while football serves up 6 state champions. That is a big difference between the sports. I am surprised there is no outrage in only allowing 4 teams. If you are unlucky enough to be in a district with 5 teams, why should that 5th seed have to sit home when a district with only 4 teams everyone automatically makes the playoffs? Seems a bit unfair.

I guess the 5th seed did not earn it, I mean come on if you can't get the 4 seed in a 5 team district. I suppose not everyone gets to the playoffs in the current system.
