We are talking about the same Jeff Burton. :thumb:

Late 80's.

Jeff is from Mercer Co. He played football at Morehead State.

Sterling Ward and Jeff Burton of PLD would make very good Head Coaches. Sterling coaches the DB's and Jeff coaches the Defensive Line. :ylsuper:

I think dreadfully weak is a little strong. (Unless you are comparing it to the 11th region) But If you are comparing it to the 13th region I dont believe it is dreadfully weak if you look at the top 10 teams in each region. I know of one team in the 12th can beat South on a given night. And there ARE 6 OR 7 teams in the 12th region that could beat North on a given night.
I agree. It is weak compared to the 11th. But so would most of the other regions in the state. It is probably a little stronger overall than the 13th. :thumb:

Southwestern has been one of the favorites all year long along with Boyle Co. and Lincoln Co.
-
They talk out of both sides of their mouth in Nicholasville. They will say one thing and then do another. You don't know what to believe. I am talking about the administration. :fight:

Lost in the District Tournament to archrival Pulaski Co. It was very hard to walk out of the gym knowing I had played my last high school game after all the sweat and tears were left out on the floor.

Coach Kirk Chiles and his Blue Devils by three. :ylsuper:

Somerset has got to find a way to play better after the All A Classic. They do place a lot of emphasis on it and seem to be flat the rest of February and March.
-
Hazard by six in a good one.
-
Mononucleosis makes you really tired, and weak. So he may not be able to play the whole game.
I meant that hopefully his absence won't hurt the Warriors too much. He is out a minimum of two weeks.
-
Southwestern's Dustin Fothergill 6-3 185 Sr. Shooting Guard 23.2 pts. per game avg.
-
Covington Catholic is my pick to win the Ninth.
-
The most centrally located places. Preferably two.
-
Southwestern's Kirby Mayer has mononucleosis and is out a minimum of two weeks. Great leader and defensive stopper. Hopefully, won't hurt too much.

Don't you mean when the shoot the ball good.......live by the three, die by the three.
No, even when they do not shoot the ball well, they play great defense. If they are locked into a total half-court game, they could be in some trouble. But so far this year, that hasn't happened.
-
Southwestern will win it. Good shooting, great defense, and a very good head coach and coaching staff.
-
Dunbar's stadium seats 6000. If they played there, probably a crowd of 7000-8000. If at LC, they would be four to five deep around the field. It would be a great crowd.
-
It is great that the pubs and LC will now be able to play. This should provide some great matchups in the next two or three years.

Great game by both teams. Congrats to Coach Schulz and the Warriors on their District Championship. Whoever draws these two teams better be on top of their games in the 12th Region Tournament.
