  1. Jay Leno’s Economic Jokes

    1. The US has made a new weapon that destroys people but keeps the building standing,. Its called the stock market.

    2. Do you have any idea how cheap stocks are? Wall Street is now being called Wal Mart Street.

    3. The difference between a pigeon and a London investment banker. The pigeon can still make a deposit on a BMW.

    4. What’s the difference between a guy who lost everything in Las Vegas and an investment banker? A tie!

    5. The problem with investment bank balance sheet is that on the left side nothing’s right and on the right side nothing’s left.

    6. I want to warn people from Nigeria who might be watching our show, if you get any emails from Washington asking for money, it’s a scam. Don’t fall for it.

    7. Bush was asked about the credit crunch. He said it was his favorite candy bar.

    8. The rescue bill was about 450 pages. President Bush’s copy is even thicker. They had to include pictures.

    9. President Bush’s response was to meet some small business owners in San Antonio last week. The small business owners

Are General Motors, General Electric and Century 21.

    10. What worries me most about the credit crunch is that if one of my cheques is returned stamped ‘insufficient funds’. I won’t know whether that refers to mine or the bank’s.

  2. Not exactly. You ever hear about the Steelers wavering on whether they are going to run a 3-4 or a 4-3? No. That is a debate in Bengal land every year. Also, the first part of my post comes into play. Tomlin is given the freedom to get what he believes he needs because Dan Rooney trusts him and has a true interest in being a successful football team.

I never questioned your original post. I just stated just about every coach makes a plan and creates a way to implement it. rather it works is the real question, and in Tomlin's case it did.

  3. Is that good or bad.

And for our school system, the bus turnarounds are going to be a huge problem for Monday.

The storm was supposed to go up the west of the Appalachians and nail us with 10+ inches. That was on Thursday, suddenly on Friday, the models showed the storm make a 300 mile shift east which sent the storm out to sea. That much of a shift is unheard of, but every model showed it, so as of this morning, all the local weatherman wrote the storm off. There was a theory that the volcano in Alaska was messing up the model readings, therefore sending it too far east. Well, unbelievably tonight, the models are trending west again. The storm moved back 100 miles west, which is making it closer to the Ohio valley. If it continues to move west, than we will get nailed. This has the potential to be a powerful storm with very high winds and high amounts of snowfall. At this point the storm is up in the air.

  4. Tell me how many people are on welfare that do not deserve to be and why they do not deserve t be.

all of them, because no where in the constitution does it say the government can take my money and give it to someone else. I can choose to help someone, but i cant be forced to give it to them.

  5. Last year, I thought the Commissioner sent out a letter to the Superintendents concerning that and it was not allowed.

The reason why I say that, we added time to the day to make up for days we had missed and have more time for instruction before the CATS test. We received one of the letters saying that what we were doing was not legal.

The other issue is staffing. Students go by instructional minutes, so it does not matter with them, whether it is a 6 hour day or 7 hour day.

But with staff, we are employed for DAYS, not minutes. So, if you extend the day, the staff STILL has to work those days at the end of the school year.

And then classified staff, bus drivers, the like are missing out on money that they would have earned that they did not.

Which distict were you teaching in?

  6. I have been out of highschool for 3 years. IMO 5 days of school had very little affect of what I learned. As long as the days come off after the CATS testing (which is an issue itself) it shouldnt be to much of a problem as long as the schools recieve funding.
