Just wanted to see what people were hearing about the status of the "death penalty" that was going to be imposed on Holy Cross. There was quite the thread about this during the Winter with references by many on here to secret meetings and inside knowledge of the KHSAA procedures but yet nothing has come of this. Ironically 3 of the schools allegedly involved in the secret meetings are now looking for new head coaches. I would love to hear an update from all of the insiders that are privy to what's going on in the KHSAA.

What tricks have they shown this year?

LaSalle features UC RB commit Jeremy Larkin, who finished the game with, I think, 250 yards on 15 carries and 3 or 4 td's in only 3 qtrs.
LaSalle is in multiple top 25 polls, nationally.
LaSalle has an extremely questionable defense. We will see what they have this week when they play Colerain.

Best friend works for Anderson Township EMS and he said that the worst crowds in terms of behavior and resulting emergency calls are by far the young country crowds. Not that a crowd like Motley Crue doesn't have issues, but they are older and more experienced crowds and tend to handle themselves much better.

Actually, Saint X JV would probably be a top 3 team.
X should have just scrimmaged themselves tonight. They have enough players, that's for sure.
-
They haven't come out yet. I think they left.
-
Someone is going to have to explain to me the positives of this other than coming out alive.
-
At this point cov cath looks as slow as a bunch of camels
-
Cchs should refund their fans $15 for this
-
Crazies awfully quiet
-
X is beating cchs at every position on every snap. 33-0 still in the first
-
This is going to get ugly quickly
-
Cchs can't get out of their own way
-
No disrespect to CCH, they are better than in recent years but X has an exceptionally talented team this year. I think they name their score.

LaSalle is very good, they were good last year and will be good next. Can't wait to watch them vs Mt Healthy down the line, should be a battle. GCL just isn't as strong as it's been in the past. Trust me, that still makes them one of best conferences in state, but relatively speaking I'm not sure there is a threat to win the big school title.
Who do you have winning the big school title? I would say one of the GCL schools is just as likely as anyone else.

I still believe that LaSalle's loss to St. X was accidental.
X beat LaSalle on their home field and ran through a brutal schedule by losing two games. One in triple overtime. I am not sure there are any accidents on their schedule.

X beat LaSalle on their home field. Think again.
-
% wise that's not a lot.
I'm guessing Cincy X has 350 to 400 boys in the senior class.
i was simply responding to Sweeperboys question or challenge.

I still can not get over the fact that they had 51 Seniors on their team...My lord who schedules teams like this:thumb:
I challenge anyone on here to name a team in KY, OH or TN that has 51 Srs on their roster, anyone?
And to me...YES that validates this loss. Not picking on Beechwood because they are an awesome program but do they even have 51 total Srs in their school?
Heck, now that I think of it, does Highlands even have 51 Sr boys in their Sr class? , I guess maybe 75 or so.
Cincinnati St X has 50+ seniors this year.

Surprised at this after the way the Lancers handled Moeller.
X is playing very well right now especially considering they are starting their third string qb. Their defense has really stepped up to keep them in big games.

None!
Lasalle. They are very talented this year.

Just a question...Does Moe have more D1 prospects on their roster than we have in all of NKY? Prospects could even mean kids that are younger and don't play because they are behind other D1 kids...like the TE Clyde mentions. So if you took all the kids on Moe's roster that will most likely play D1 and all the kids in NKY, who has more prospects?
Just curious, how many NKY players have D1 deals on the table? Not wishful thinking but offers that have already been made?
-
LaSalle is D1.
No they are a D1 school as of last year.
-
It means business as usual. Anyone that thought CC would keep this one close hasn't followed Moeller closely. The game means nothing for CC from here on out.

Holy Cross was missing two starters. They stopped pressing after the first quarter and played 2/3 zone much of the second half. They even had 7th and 8th graders playing much of the game. There was nothing more the coach could have or should have done.
