  2. I hate when it is 33 degrees and rainy. I'd much rather it be a little cooler and take the snow.

:thumb: I will agree with you on that. I would have much preferred snow over rain at the Bengals game on Sunday.

Spring, is just around the corner, right?

  3. This is from an interview on Kenny Florian's website. I would be so pumped if he were fighting Roger Huerta in Columbus.

TCF: Thanks for taking the time to speak with me. You took a little time off from training after your last win because of a back injury, how are you physically?

KF: The back is fine. I had a herniated disc in both by neck and back. I won't be needing any surgery and it's holding up good.

TCF: Did that prevent you from not training as much or as hard?

KF: After the win over Din Thomas, I just took a little longer off than I normally do. I'm now back to training and sparring and working out 6 days a week.

TCF: Are you still thinking either February or March for your next fight?

KF: That's the plan as of right now. There is a chance I'll be on the card in Columbus in March. Ohio has some crazy fans and I hope to get back there soon.

TCF: Any idea of who your next opponent might be?

KF: I have no idea to be honest. All I know is that I want it to be one of the top guys in the division. It could possibly be the winner of Saturday's fight between Clay Guida and Roger Huerta. Frankie Edgar is another guy that is a possibility

  4. And he has taken stands on issues that other coaches have not. He has taken steps to improve the feeder program when others have not been willing to commit to the program beyond the freshmen year.

He has started traveling teams for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th grade that plays in a school league at SOAS in Florence. That will do nothing but better improve the players as they enter the 6th grade.

Meaning they can take the 6th, 7th, 8th to another level and better be prepared as freshmen entering.

In addition, he has encouraged players from those teams to continue in fall and summer leagues/camps. Some will be doing that.

:thumb: That's great to hear. I have complete faith in Coach Simms.

  5. As a PC fan, I'm not 100% sure that they are/will be fine. I missed the first game against Nicholas Co., but watching them last night was a bit discouraging. I do believe they have individual talent. However, I'm not sure I saw them do anything as a team. I hate to say it, but last night they were the most selfish team I have seen in a while. It seemed that very few plays were ran and most players were playing one on one....taking contested shots or forcing the issue by driving when there were no openings. I truly hope that Coach Simms can get them playing together as a team. Due to their size, they are going to be out-manned in a lot of games, and playing fundamental team ball is the only way for them to be successful, IMO.

With that being said....congrats to BB on the win. The certainly did not look like the team everyone has made them out to be. They played hard and aggressive, and I think they will only continue to improve. Best of luck to them in the 10th region.
