Doesn't Jeff Davis teach Special Ed? That guy should be a head coach somewhere.
Jeff is one of the top assistants in the state. He would be a fantastic hire for Beechwood. They would be getting the new trimmer version of Coach Davis!! LOL
-
If I was making the decision, I would be all over David McFarland. He will be a very good head coach someday soon.
David would be a fantastic choice. He is mature beyond his age. I don't know if he would be interested but it would be a very good hire for Beechwood.

Can you give a roster for the Kentucky Premier team?

Both Ryle and Cooper played their original freshman teams. No additions to their rosters.

Nikki Kiernan is a freshman at NCC. She is having an amazing start to her high school career. Very proud of her and what she has accomplished so far. Good luck Nikki!!

Jones really gets after the primary ballhandlers. She does a great job pressuring the basketball and forcing turnovers and fatigue. Jones really pushes the ball out on the floor and makes it hard for teams to run good offense. I really like her effort and toughness.
-
I am guessing that she attempted less than 10. She didn't miss many of her 3's. She shot a very high percentage. She fouled out with about 4 minutes to go in the game.

In their second meeting of the season Holy Cross won their second straight close game. Holy Cross won by 1 in the first meeting and won by 3 in the second.

Just spoke with Kellen Smith's father. He informed me that Kellen will be attending Saginaw Valley State to play basketball next year.
Congrats to Kellen and his family.

Did Turner move to Holy Cross?

My daughter will be a freshman at Cooper this year. I am looking forward to getting an opportunity to see some of the girls teams in Kentucky play. I have not followed to much girls basketball in the past but that will change with my daughter playing. Trying to educate myself on some of the better incoming players.
My girls team from last year was based out of Northern Kentucky. 3 girls at Cooper (Pittman, Brinneman and Arnett), 1 at Boone (Hare), 3 at Notre Dame (Kellam, Reis, Clemons), 2 at NCC (Kiernan, Maier), 1 at Cov Latin (Matchinga).
I haven't had a chance to see to many of the incoming freshman outside of Northern Kentucky. Would love to know who some of the better freshman are throughout Kentucky. I hope to get an opportunity to see a lot of these young ladies play this upcoming season.
I haven't seen any rankings for this age group. What are your thoughts?
-
Who are going to be some of the better incoming freshman this year? What freshman will have the biggest impact at the varsity level?
-
Coach Davis just informed me that Timmy Knipp has committed to EKU to play basketball.
Congratulations to Timmy and his family!!
-
This has been the rule in Ohio for as long as I can remember. You can only have two players from one school on each team until June 1st. After June 1st you can have as many players from the same school as you want.
-
Shining Star Davis put the final nail I'm the D-One and Quincy Miller coffin with a 89-76 thumping.
Jody Demling reported that by his count 58 college coaches watching this game.
The Shining Star Sports-Davis team has played very well and gotten a lot of attention from the college coaches at the tournament.
-
How about the coaching ability from Davis? Takes a team that some said they were not overly impressed with, short handed and sick players, getting beat two weeks ago by one of the favorites, and comes into the state tourney and goes 6-0 to claim the title? On Saturday scoring an amazing 335 points in 3 games!
Coach Davis did an amazing job. I got the opportunity to sit on his bench all weekend and was very impressed with his approach and how the kids responded to him. Those kids were TIRED!! He did a great job keeping them focused and getting them to give everything they had.
