  1. There may have been a receiver or two open but the NCC safety was the deepest player on the field so it would not likely have been a TD.

It's a terrible call because at that point of the game and at that position on the field it is just asking for trouble. You don't need to go for the jugular when you are up 7 and not being stopped and the clock is running in the fourth quarter. Plus your punting was shaky earlier.

I don't want to overly be critical but that one play could have just thrown away the advantage Fort Campbell had worked hard to get.

The receiver on that play was wide open on the cardinal head, no defender within 15 yards of him. It would have been a TD if he doesn't drop the pitch back to him.

  2. The Falcons finished the game with 501 yards of total offense. Tre Powell ran 15 times for 178 yards and 2 TD's. QB C.J. Croft was 11-21-1 for 174 yards.

Troy Turner had 15 carries for 79 yards and a TD. The Falcon defense came up big in the 4th quarter stopping the Wildcats on a couple of 4th down plays.

The Wildcats QB had a good game passing for 100 yards and rushin for 101 yards. Good luck to the Wildcats in the playoffs.

  3. FC when was the last time Ft. Campbell went deep into the playoffs? I am curious, I remember they won a state title in the 70s under Patterson I think.

The last time Ft. Campbell went deep in the playoffs were the semi-finals in the mid 90's. Lost to a powerful Franklin-Simpson team 34-0 at home. Then Franklin-Simpson lost to Breathitt County in double or triple OT in the championship.
