  1. Okay....

First I would like to say to the Tomcat players and Coaches hold your heads high. You played one heck of a game. I was tore up all day...I just knew this was going to be a close one.

Secondly...to the Tomcat fans I met thank you for you kindness and class. I certainly hope it's not the same fans on here complaining.

This was a hard fought game and either could have won(and deserved to win).

If only both teams could continue into Regional play!

The Tomcats gave us all we could handle for four quarters. I think they gave our players something to think about. Now let's use that feeling in our preparations for the Rock.

So now I think everybody should realize WE DO HAVE A PASSING GAME!

There is one player I would like to take a moment to recognize. #23 TREY BELHASEN... IMO he was the difference maker tonight! He played with incredible heart. He's been a little under the weather and played through it like a champion! We love you Trey!

AND HOW 'BOUT THAT TOMMY TAYLOR!! I know you've been waiting for your game all season. You got it tonight! When we needed it the most you stepped and showed what senior champions do!

  2. Also, while Im here, and before the thread is closed. Anyone have any good directions to the field? I've never been to JC.

You need to take the 1st Paintsville exit(it's a left turn). You will go through three red lights(McDonald's sits on the left @the 3rd)Johnson Central is on the left just through the light.

If you are looking for a good parking space I would turn left into the plaza at the 3rd light. There is a large parking area in the center where you can park without fear of being towed. If you park here the quickest way into the stadium is at the lower end of this parking lot(down by Goodwill Ind.)....there is a walk through into the back of the school, right to the stadium.

  3. That is something I could do without during the game! I think it is great before the game, timeouts, halftime, touchdowns, and change of quarters but throughout the game is insulting to your visiting teams! Those snappy one liners should be left out for a classier more enjoyable game experience for everybody. If Ashland plays as uninspired as they have for several weeks it will be ugly? If they give all they have I think they can play right with them! IMO Ashland should keep somebody on Grimm all night long everywhere he goes! Make them prove they are more than one dimensional from what I saw last time Grimm was the offense, they are a solid team all the way around but GRIMM IS THE KNOCKOUT PUNCH! He is one of those special players that don't come around very often, treasure him while you have him he is something else! :p

Grim is special and we do treasure him!

  4. I think JCHS has an awesome center....His name is Wes Preston(he's a junior)...He took over at center after the second game of the season I think. I can't tell you how many times Grim has followed him through line for good yardage.

In the Ashland game he opened up a whole big enough for a mack truck and Grim used it for one of his many TD's

Thanks for the wonderful job you do, Wes!

  5. I just wanted to take a moment to say that the Ashland fans that I had personal contact with were very classy fans. Some fans come in with a chip on their shoulder and won't even speak when spoken too. All the fans I met were very nice, friendly people I enjoyed meeting them. I'm sure they are probably some of the same classy posters on here. Ashland has a great program and a great group of fans.

I'm glad to hear that some of you enjoyed your trip to JC and found similarly classy fans from JC.

As for the music and PA guy. None of it is meant to be confrontational, just to pump up the crowd and make the game even more exciting. The JC staff has put alot of work into the atmosphere at home games and I think they've done an excellent job.

Also, Grim told me Coach Hart came to him after the game to tell him what a great game he played and congratulate him. I just want to say thank you to Coach Hart for being a class act(if some would pass that along for me). Also, all the Ashland players were very classy, respectable young men. Good luck next week Tomcats. Maybe, we will see you again in a few weeks.

How about that Shawn Grim. Isn't he just amazing to watch.

  6. This thread is going down hill quickly....so I think I should post before it gets closed.

JC has known from the beginning of the season this was going to be a tough game. Our boys and their coaches are going to be prepared for a tough battle. My hope is for good sportsmanship and an injury free, exciting game.

Grim show what your made of!!
