  1. First, How is the kid that got hurt last week?

Now, if Ashland doesn't make adjustments and improvements they very well could be 2-3 or 1-4 after Prestonburg. But with that tough schedule that should get them ready for another District title run.

Luke Bonner will be out for another 2-4 weeks. His MRI came back better than expected and has already started rehab. He should be back for district play if not sooner.
  2. Coach Love is a great coach - the boys really respond to him. If he wants the job, I hope that he gets it. However, this would be a huge loss to Ashland. Tony is our defensive coordinator, strength coach, and also coaches our wrestling program.

If he does get the job i know he will lose alot of respect from the Ashland community.

Not he that he would say it , but I hope a lot of people are noticing ;) ;)

  4. If Beach is so good then why dont with him and David Jones rule the d1 level of college play. Look at the numbers the three put up in High school. If Blume had the size of Arliss and David then there would not ever be a contest .So with Blume being A whole lot smaller I think that he is Better than Beach.
Well when he gets as big as ether of them get back to me then we can talk.:irked:

I stirred up a "hornets nest" last year when I critiqued Blumes performance in the Ashland game.

Its so hard to differentiate; best HS back, potential for college, explosiveness, catching the ball, inside/outside, style of offense, # of carries, # of years starting, etc.

Personally I like a more physical back so I would lean to Beach.

My ONLY 1 game opinion of Blume was that he reminded me of a track man in pads.

By every account he is a really hard working, first class young man. I even heard coach Hart make some very nice post-game personal compliments of Blume - beyond just his performance on the field.

Hope he gets the opportunity to play college - but there IS more to life than football :thumb:

  6. Personally I feel Blume was the best RB that I have seen in Eastern Ky in the past 10 yrs. But I only saw him play in 2 games.

I also remember everyone laughing at the fact of Arliss Beach getting a chance to play DI also. He had a great DI career barring injuries and will now have a chance with the Green Bay Packers.

In my eyes from what I saw, Blume was better than Beach, but his size might have hurt him.

Plus, just think what might have happen to Blume, if given the same chance as Beach....Sometimes all it takes is a Chance!

I hope that was a joke? Blume will never be as good a Beach.
