Because NCC won home field advantage. Would you give that to an opponent in the playoffs? I wouldn't. Holmes is NCC's home away from home anyway.

No I wouldn't give up home field but you would think that anyone of these fields could be home for these teams they are so close together.

At Holmes High School, in Covington KY. New Cath-vs-Bellevue at 7:00 should be one of the better games in the whole state, I hope no one is overlooking.

Why is this game being played here? Should be a better game if the field is dry.

Lexington offers two games at fields just a couple of miles apart. Lexington Catholic against Covington Catholic and Lexington Christian against Beechwood. Being that you are from NKY, you could see two teams in action if you wanted to only catch a half of action in each game.

Newports "D" could be coming on just when it needs to, I think they will need Glenn back to win this game,could be a close one.

How many varsity kids does Newport have?

I don't know if they will have a varsity team I will try and find out.

Newport coach Jeff Middleton has confirmed that he will have a Varsity and Middle school program this year. We need to remember to thank him for getting Newport's program started. The more the merrrier!

Starting with a middle school or elementary program is the way to do it. It's hard to recruit wrestlers without a feeder program. If you can build up a team with kids who have wrestled middle school or younger, you're more likely to have a successful varsity squad which in turn encourages kids to wrestle in the feeder progams.
