  1. Don't know what to expect. Does it seem to you admiral fans, that Danville has much smaller lineman, seems to me that it may be a long time before the ads win another title, hope I'm wrong, but looks like another long yr. I'll be with the ads always go ads

Actually their linemen look bigger this year than recent past. As for a state championship, this team has the talent, they just have to find their heart and start playing with it. I will say that 2 years Danville will be a team that few teams will match up with if everyone in the soph. class keeps playing, they are loaded.

Now for the matchup,,, I think that if Danville finds their heart and joy of playing they can win if not GRC's back will have a field day. My gut feeling is that Harp and the town of Danville have given this team a hard time of giving up and I don't think that we will see that again, so I will take Danville in a close one 29-28.

  2. We've got DeMarco Phillips, #7, who caught the second TD, and we've got Rashuan Phillips #42 who was extremely versatile last night, at LB and FB. Both are juniors and will be back next season.

Thats good for Bardstown. I think they ar both bright spots. I hate to hear that #42 will be back hitting our back and disrupting our already disrupted offense! What is his height and weight?

  3. I thought that the game was poorly managed by Danville. You drive right down the field on the first drive going basically between the tackles. Then to start the second drive you try to go outside....get a holding call and bam there goes your night till 8 minutes to go in the game when you figure out you can pass. It amazed me that Danville tried to get outside on a faster team. It seems as if they try to get to fancy at times. Do what you do best!

On another note......I saw no intensity till after #66 got the personal foul call. They should come out and stay intense from one snap to the next.

Congrats to Bardstown....they showed up. I really like the Phillips kid. What year is he?

  4. So no one is going to say anything about the fact that Boyle's receivers couldn't catch a cold tonight? Seriously, I understand that all the boys work hard for Friday nights. I understand it is a huge rivalry and all the bragging rights that come with it, but come on, in the 4th quarter, time after time, Bryce Perry put the ball into the receivers hands and the receivers didn't catch the ball. That's what I saw. I saw Christian drop a catch after he got past the corner and the safety. He made a great move to get to open field and dropped the ball. I watched Auhmiller drop pass after pass when the ball was hitting his hands. I come from the school of "if the ball hits your hands you should catch it" and I guarantee Boyle's receivers dropped at least 7 balls that should have been caught that would have been first downs or momentum shifters. Don't get me wrong, Danville's defense had tremendous pressure on Perry, but his passes were hitting the receivers in the hands and they let him down. To me, that was the story of the game. After all the work Perry had to do to stay on his feet and make a throw, it was his receivers who failed to pick him up. I'd love to watch this game again on film. I'm not trying to take anything away from Danville, they came, fought, and played hard. Their tailback(#4) Simon, I think, gave a clinic tonight on why you keep your legs moving. Incredible touchdown run. Danville did everything they had to do to win and that is commendable, but Boyle County's receivers, or lack of, imo, was the story of the night.

Granted Boyles wide outs dropped passes. But what about the turnovers by Danville. Had they not turned it over Boyle really didn't do much to stop them. I think really both sides played hard but sloppy! Danville did make some hits on the wide outs that could have attributed to the drops! Great job ADS keep it going!

  5. And what a game he had:thumb: If that is the second string QB, I'd hate to see the first string QB. I just love to see a kid come off the bench and prove himself. :thumb: :thumb: I watched the game on TV and was very impressed with MC. Danville will be just fine they always are - or at least they are with us:irked:  I don't ever want to say anything bad about any kid but why am I not impressed with Macon? Could someone please tell me what everyone sees in this kid and what I'm not seeing. I think the Simon kid will be someone you will hear alot about this year.

I wish Hope would have played QB the whole game it would probally be a different outcome. One Question 4th and a millimeter.............why hand the ball off on a team that is whipping you up front?

  6. UKPat has a good point. I think they will be better as well. No they won't lead the county in defensive catagories, but I think it will be an improved defense. I look at what they lost defensively with what replaces them and its only got to get better. Depth is getting better as well as overall talent. UK is not a top ten team yet, who knows if they ever will be??? I know UK will never meet up to UofL greatness;) but I mean I can live with that. On that note.........wasn't it Louisville who gave up alot of points to a South Florida team a couple of years ago!

  7. I thought that Grey last year had better football instincts than Witten did. Overall athleticism he has and the arm. I think he will do fine. I also believe that the ADS will be fine. I am very anxious to see what they can do. I like alot of their players, Simon at RB and Grey at QB and Macon back. Also Henderson at the other reciever and as usual you have suprise players. I am excited!!!

  8. Have to go with the ADS. In the playoffs they have been so dominate over each team. I don't see Friday being any different. I now look back and think of how many people got off the wagon when Frankfort beat the ADS. Just goes to show what great coaches can do. As Strode.......you can see how he wants to go out....like a champ! I think the whole team has had a goal for a while now and they are focused. I just don't see them losing.

  9. Two things about the defense. One is tackling. The tackling has been horrible the past few games. Alot of arm tackling or whiffs. Now to me this is players and coaches fault. Apparently if they aren't tackling well you would get more practice at it. Then the second problem that sticks out to me is that whe the linebackers drop into coverage they have a very hard time "finding" recievers. This is also both coaches and pllayers faults.

One thing about it their defense will not win a game for them. I think for them to be competitive year in and year out in the SEC the defense has to be alot better.
