  1. I think Danville figured out how to contain Mr. Fields last year. I haven't seen them play but I can't imagine Frankfort would have anybody that can run like Robinson. He did the most damage in the second game last year.:flame:

Danville does not have the same personel this year. Bryant , Hughes and the linebackers played huge game

  2. It would be awful hard to hire a coach now because all the coaches are busy with their season. I do think that they will hire one by Christmas or somewhere around that time. I would find it hard to believe for them to wait until summer to hire a coach.

I thought the new coach at Cawood would become the Head Coach at Harlan County.

  3. It's very hard for a new coach to come in behind a head coach that leaves with as much success as Chuck Smith. Look at Danville when Duffy left, Harp lost the 1st three games in 1988 and for sale signs went up in the front yard, the dogs were nipping at his heels. But once things settled down, Danville has built an even stronger tradition under Harp minus Duffy.

Talent goes in cycles and maybe that cycle at Boyle is down - be patient.

  4. RebelK - I think you have experienced what Danville fans have experienced for the preceeding 5 years during the Boyle string. Sorry you felt you were treated that way. Rude and obnoxious fans are hard to swallow. Fans should be proud of their team and accept greatness with class. Because at somepoint in time your team will hit a lull. Remember talent runs in streaks.

  5. Don't know how many of you have coached a team before but you can have the best well laid plan(s) for your offense/defense until you put the team on the field. Talk, teach and practice but the players are the ones that execute the plan and if the player(s) don't get it, boom, it blows up in their face. The player is on the field and the coach is on the sidelines (not in on the play).
