Hazard is the best team in the 14th when everyone is ready and in basketball shape. That is not to say that there isn't 3 contenders in KCC,LCC and PCC. Hazard is a legit top 20 team, they have all the tools. Guards, big men, defense, coach. Time will show and I still believe it is Hazards to lose.

Scott will be in the mix when March rolls around. Period.

Don't forget the mountain boys at Elliott Co. Mr. Basketball balloting always seems to sway toward some of the smaller schools and the great numbers put up by previous winners. As someone mentioned earlier, would they hold the name on the jersey against Sanford????

I like Cooperstown structure. You have to be careful with those schools that have 5-700 kids and trying to group them with what are now 5 and 6A football schools. If you do something like that you might as well leave it as is. The only schools that would benefit would be your

Play 32 minutes regardless of score or callit a win after the first quarter and scrimmage the rest of the way! Quit crying! We all have been on the bad end of these at some point and time with our teams as well as the good end.

Is the Brewer kid playing at all for the Cards? Why or why not?

He is certainly lacking in experience and talent but they took a thrashing and it could have been a lot worse. Team seems to lack discipline. Coaches will do what they can with what they have but it is going to be a long winter for Pirate basketball.

Any stats or highlights?

Without seeding in that district does it really matter? I would have like to seen the game but the only 2 games that matter is when they play in the district tourney and again in the regional finals.

Lee has got to find some guard play to relieve Charles. He is to athletic not to get more shots. Also by freeing him up I think it will free up pelfrey who has improved a great deal. Charles had to make every shot he got off the ball. That will get old and easy to defend over time. Lee is very talented 1 thru 6. Estill just plays hard and that will serve them well. You could tell estill was a little rusty with their football players only being back a week or so.

Not the same team. A lot of the same players but without 4 or 5 football players and if I am not mistaken, 2 starters.

Feeder programs, Number of kids, Coaches,community and administration support! The same things that make every program successful. Some schools just continue it year after year after year. Most programs are comfortable with winning every year or so. Those schools expect and prepare to win every year.

Beechwood wins but I think it will be closer than we all think. Beechwood by 10 but I pull for the DAWGS! Good luck Hazard!
