They lose 2 starters (Keller Menke and Beth Queen) to graduation, and another sometimes starter/significant player to another school (Mikayla Likins). They return Moran, B. Menke, and Smith, and should be getting back Butler, a great freshman point guard, who was out with a torn acl last year.

Pretty sad when you have to say Tibbs was HELD to 20. Haha. An excellent player. Congrats to both teams. I'm excited to watch this 10th region tournament. A district loser is just as likely to come out as the region winner.
-
Futher proof that the 10th Region is wide open, big road win for Campbell County. Whoever puts together a run and gets hot at the right time will win the region. Must throw Campbell into the mix of teams that have to be considered a contender.
Yes, they've beaten both St. Pat and Mason County.
-
What has happened to Mason County? They looked pretty good at the beggining of the year. Just lost to 2 teams they should have beat. Do they have some injuries?
They only shot 29.1% from the field in this game.
-
I would swap Brossart and St Pat and maybe Campbell Co and Mason Co.
Campbell Co. beat Mason Co.

I think Emmons from Fleming had about 19.

Wall is a beast.

I think this young lady has the potential to be a big time Division 1 prospect in either basketball or softball by the time she graduates.
Not sure about basketball, but she is definitely on her way there for softball. An excellent hitter and pitcher.

St. Pat should win this game easily, but with it being their first game, who knows? Bourbon barely survived and advanced against Deming (just going on the score) with Deming missing their best player.
-
Mason County must keep Tibbs in check in order to have a chance, and keep getting the production they are getting from their bench.
-
Bracken was missing Chelsea Ahrens(sp?). Hannah Haight was on the bench early in the first half in foul trouble. I think that if these two teams meet again with Ahrens healthy, the result could be different.
No, Chelsea graduated last year. They were missing her sister, Alanna (sp) Ahrens and it seemed like one or two others.
-
Keller Menke with 24 points, 11 rebounds. Nice game for Katelyn Smith who managed to score 16 points, even with foul trouble. McKayla Likins also played a nice game, with foul trouble, scoring a career-high 9 points.
Bracken was missing a couple key players, and Haight was sidelined much of the game with foul trouble, but still had 13 points.
Excellent game. If these two meet again in March, then it should definitely be an interesting match-up. A lot of turn-overs and a lot of fouls present in this game. Both teams will only get better as the year goes along.

Rough first half for both teams. Many lead changes and runs by both teams, but Mason County takes the 30-26 lead into the locker room at the half. I will have to say I am impressed at Mason County's depth more than I was last year. Many different players have contributed to Mason's 30 points, both starters and non-starters.
-
Should be a good one. I think Mason County will pull out the win this year. They'll want revenge from last year's one point loss.
-
A ton of things. I would have tried harder and not taken people in my life I love for granted.
Same here! It sure has caused me a lot of grief this past month. I wish I would've not fought with the ones I loved so much and I would definitely be a happier person right now.

Mason County is ready. It'll be a battle, but I'll take the Royals by 2 touchdowns.
And it's nice to see the O-line from Mason County getting some credit:

Mason County's is. Perhaps you read about him?
But his was a knee injury, not a high ankle sprain.
-
Mason Co I would say, they lost their start QB but Coach B will have Mason Co ready. They still have a STUD running back in 10th Grader Josh Harris and the starting QB now is a great player in Colt Fearis, plus the Mason Co D is playing alot better. People are pushing Mason Co to the side but watch out.
Also, look for Kirk Sweeney, who went down with an injury against Bourbon early in the year, to make some appearances in tonight's game. Don't look for him to play much, but he is definitely working himself back in there, which will definitely help the Royals defensively!

This one keeps sticking in my head.. And Yes, that is really her playing the guitar.. She's the one that plays the lead for MJ's This Is It video... Listen to the solo at the 2:15 mark.. http://new.music.yahoo.com/orianthi/videos/view/according-to-you--218599314
She can definitely play the guitar!

Worth quoting again.
Considering the way Mason played Friday night, I think they'll do just fine. Colt Fearis is a skilled quarterback with great speed and an excellent athlete overall. The offense is solid at every position. The defense is playing better than ever.
It is my understanding that Neal will miss basketball season. He has a bright future and I pray for a full recovery for him.
I heard it could take up to a year, even with therapy, to fully heal. Prayers for a speedy recovery. He is a wonderful young man with a love for the game, so he'll definitely be back stronger than ever!
-
Pawsat will not return this year. Has a complete tear of the MCL is what I heard. Regardless, Mason County should walk away with the win.
-
He is going to be a top notch running back. For that matter, he already is! Teams will focus on stopping him now, though, if the QB is out. The yards might be harder to come by. At some point in the playoffs, the backup QB will have to win a game with his arm. Maybe he can...but I still hate to hear about the starter going out.
It's a little harder for him to throw since he has a shoulder injury.

How many envelopes did they use? Did they use all of the 6 or what? I was under the impression that all of those people were in the same envelope, but it did not clarify.
I believe all 6 were used.

So, an update on the relationship of my friend. He talked with her the day before yesterday, and there were a lot of emotions displayed, and they were still not back together. Then, yesterday, something strange happened and his ex had a sudden change of heart and they agreed to get back together and work things out. So, they are currently back together and working through things to figure out what went wrong so that it wouldn't happen again.
He is very happy. What great advice you all give!
Butcher out at Mason Co.
in KY Girls Basketball (High School)

I think that it's because of the coaches. Buser had a lot of talent on her hands, and that's why the program was so high. The girls worked hard and achieved what they did because of talent. If you weren't blessed with that talent, then she didn't put the effort into making you better. You just sat the bench. That turned a LOT of girls away from the program. Mason has depended on that one or two great players to carry them through, and this year (Smith) was just not enough to get them where they needed to be. They haven't been developing the bench or role players, but Butcher had started to work on that some, as more girls were getting a chance to play. I know a lot of girls are hesitant because of the way the program used to be, fearing that they had no hope of playing time no matter how talented they were or how hard they worked. It's very much a "name" game at Mason County. It'll be interesting to see who takes over and what they do with the program.
