Staggs fouls out with 7 points and 5:24 to go in the 4th and didn't score in the 1st half.
Augusta had 2 players in the scoring column for most of the first half of the game.

Final.
Augusta's big men in foul trouble and the Eagles were just too much.
Dustin Staggs ends his career just shy of 1000 points.
-
It seemed to me that the Panthers haven't been helping themselves very much in this game. The two best point-producers put themselves in foul trouble.
EDIT: Congrats on your 5,000th post bigblue

64 - 43 Scott on top.
Augusta substitutes in Hargett, Kiskaden, Gibbs, and Poe.
1:41 remaining
-
Mofford has also fouled out.
Augusta's 2 leading scorers are gone in a tough situation.
60-37

Staggs fouled out in what may be his last game.
Was on the verge of 1000 points too.

51 - 32
Staggs just got his 4th foul.

Panther you can take the updates from here, going to get my tickets for the Mason Co. game.:thumb:
you walk away from the computer at 4,999 posts
Not looking good for the Panthers.

...if they would call fouls then their press would not be very effective...
You'll have that...

Last year, Preston Knowles.
Definitely.

Augusta could play a perfect game and they would still lose. There are only two ways Mason County would lose this game:
1.) If they had to forfeit
-- or --
2.) If the bus got lost on the way to Bracken County and with Murph driving, I just don't see that happening
per·fect adj.
exactly fitting the need in a certain situation or for a certain purpose
I'm pretty sure a Perfect game would constitute a win.
That being said, nobody expects a perfect game
-
Does, it really matter what the score is at half-time? Oh, yeah, there is a second half to a game. I think they just added that this year..?
I don't believe I made any comment about it mattering. I just stated that it happened in an earlier post and apparently this is a touchy subject.

Here we go with the "down by two at halftime" Augusta claim to fame. atownjoe, I believe this game is the reason that they wont overlook this team.
Down by one actually.

"From The River Three The Region" just doesn't have the same sing at Two did..

Darius Miller wont take a night off in the postseason. This team is on a mission. they wont overlook St. Pat either.
I've personally seen them overlook a team going into the postseason. I'm not saying Miller will take a night off, but the extremely mental game will be a defining factor. The fact that Mason SHOULD destroy a team may be enough for them to leave the door open for an opponent. In '06, they were in trouble with Augusta at half-time, at which point they realized what was happening and showed the team they truly were. The mentality of Mason's squad will play a huge part in how the game works out.

Mason County will not be able to take this one for "as many as they want." This will likely be a no contest victory to Mason County, but the Saint Patrick teams is not just a bunch of scrubs, and if Mason comes out thinking this game isn't a roadblock in their route to the state tournament, you may very well see a team struggle against an underdog on this night.

This thread comes up waaaay too much on here. The answer is (deservedly) astoundingly in favor of Cov. Cath every time.

Another great chance for Augusta.
-
Can anyone provide updates throughout this game? I won't be able to make it to the den in time.
-
I hope I can make it to this one.
I'm going to say the panthers will win by 10+ because they have been in close games all season. There's no better time for them to turn up their tempo than against the Polar Bears.
-
If so the other three teams in the district would be trying to throw their district games so as not to win the top seed and have to play Mason.
I seriously doubt that.
-
I like the big tall boy Hargett maybe?
Hargett is my favorite player!
But Chris Mofford is the player you're referring to

Staggs was on the verge of a 1,000 point career, but came up short tonight.
