  2. 33 and 52 would indicate a different formula might be considered. Its not 100% pitching.

This lineup is a different formula. Narron rarely ever used Hamilton in the leadoff spot. It was Freel up until the end of May, and we saw how that worked out. Hopper leading off was not a success either. So this Hamilton "formula" just may be the answer.

  3. Did I single out Hamilton as being slow?

    JR Slow

    Dunn Slow

    Ross Slow

    Hatteburg Slow

    E-5 Avg foot speed

    Gonzalez below avg foot speed

    BP above avg speed

    Hamilton slighlty above avg speed

I just like watching teams that can run.

No but it's not like any of those other guys are going to be replaced by Freel or Hopper, unless you play Freel at 2nd or 3rd. Or are you saying you'd like an OF of Freel, Griffey, Hamilton? Dunn, Freel, Hamilton? I just don't see how you can not single out Hamilton with your statement, and reasonably expect to get Freel or Hopper in there.

  4. Too slow! If they don't hit the big shot they don't score. I prefer a speedier lineup with either Freel or Hopper.

They have to get on to be disruptive with their speed, and Hamilton is not that much slower than them at all. His plate production more than makes up for whatever speed differential there might be between him and Freel/Hopper.

  5. I saw that and he didnt look to be hustling to hard he just happened to hit that one pretty soft. But he shouldnt be in that situation. Runners on first and second 1 out he swings at the first pitch he sees which was outside and he tries to pull it thats going to be a inning ending ground ball that is the second time in the past 2 days he has done that very same thing.

All I'm saying is that I seriously doubt fans of the majority of teams would treat Dunn the way we have. It's almost like it's cool to hate Dunn.... It seems like a few years ago most people liked him, while there were a few critiques who couldn't stand his style of play. Then we started losing and the cliche thing to say about Dunn is that he is lazy and never hustles.

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe he's doing his best in the field? I mean, I seriously doubt Dunn makes decisions in the middle of a game (play) like "You know what, I don't feel like hustling after this ball". And on the basepaths... guys who actually run out routine ground balls are few and far between.... people just love to rip on Dunn for stuff like that because it's become the normal thing to do in Cincinnati.

I'm not saying it's ok for Dunn to not hustle, if he is in fact purposefully not hustling, I just think he is extremly demotivated playing for Cincinnati fans and we will be sorry when he is in another city that loves him putting up the same power numbers that he has here.

The guy has taken a lot of abuse in Cinncinati and has never once shown a bad attitude or caused any problems. I believe he deserves some credit just for that....
