  1. Friley representing the 16th means nothing she is still surrounded by 7th and 8th graders. Every parent of these girls knew this was going to be a tough year but when they starting getting beat you had one parent that tore this team apart. This team was an awsome 7th and 8th grade team but even though you do not want to hear it they are to small to win the big varsity games(Ashland, Boyd, Raceland). If the parent would sit in the stands and let this team improve as a group and stop tearing them apart this would have been a great team in a year or two. I also would like to add as much as I love these girls and would like for them to stay together to prove people wrong about them you still have a couple of girls that just really do not like the game and will probally never play again.

  2. I do not believe it has anything to do with last years assistant coach gone. When you go from 4 seniors that were great to 7th and 8th graders then the teams defense will probally be a little different. I would also have to add, have you noticed any size differance. Lets remember that Rose Hills only senior did not play that much last year due to injury and for some of these girls its their first time getting to play varsity. I do not care who the coach is this year, these girls were going to struggle and we all knew that, even though a couple of us our very proud of these girls for stepping up and doing there best.

  3. I know this may sound pretty stupid but I will say it anyway. I thought this was a good game for Rose Hill even though they got beat by 27 points. The girls played really hard for 3 quarters and was only down by 10-13 points most of the game. Raceland has a good team and a lot bigger than Rose Hill and they wore the young girls out in the fourth quarter. Rose Hill pressed most of the game and it seemed to keep them in it until the fourth quarter and then they ran out of gas.

  4. I would never try to destroy Rose Hill. I wished these girls would stay together and play all through high school. I have been with Rose Hill for 13 years and hate that this is going on, and for those of you that know me knows that is a fact.

All I am saying is you have some girls that have said they do not want to play anymore, they are loosing a senior, and one that is not happy, and the other just wants to play and is afraid that there will not even be a team there that she can play on unless they play 6th and 7th graders. Lets face it they have a small team and if you loose one or two girls then it would be hard to put a team on the floor that could compete.

And yes Ashland girls do have a great time on and off the court and they seem to be a very close team. This is what it takes to win ballgames.

  5. Yes I was one of those fans that thought these girls (and they would have been) would be real contenders in the 16th. Some things just are not meant to be. I wish all these girls the best of luck whatever happens, they are a great group of girls and have been very fun to be around. All I can say is lets try to work together and finish the season strong.

  6. Yes I would say this is a different team than you have seen the last few years considering they start 1 senior, 1 soph, 2 8th graders and 1 seventh grader.

Like I have said before this is a very young team that never gives up, the younger group has won many games in the past and could have been a very special group in about 2 years. Those that have seen these girls play in the past and at the beginning of the year would have to agree. Unfortunately I am pretty sure that this team will not be back together as a whole team next year.
