Not sure it means a whole lot now, but I just read Jake Ohmer's comments to Ledger writer Evan Dennison and Ohmer stated that he was trying to draw the foul, but there wasn't one so he just shot it. He said, "I knew it was good when it left my hands!"

I don't understand how Mason Burden is above Brennan Canada and Jaylen Lofton? Burden puts up numbers because of Robertson's strength of schedule and he's just about their only source of offense other than Alex Schalch. Canada and Lofton are both much better ball players than him IMO.
You said it, "In my opinion!" Your opinion was not the same as the coaches in the 10th region who voted. You don't have to cut down a team or school.
Also, Canada is a nice player I agree, however he only played in 11 games this season. His injuries may have hurt his chances with some coaches.

Congrats to all players nominated!
Especially Junior Mason Burden!

I was impressed with the 8th grade point guard for Robertson. Yes he had numerous turnovers' date=' but he showed great heart, attitude, and effort. Yes he had trouble creating a shot, but I think he will make a fine high school point guard. Congrats to Paris who was just too athletic for the Black Devils.[/quote']
Eli Dotson is a nice young player that got some valuable experience the last two seasons at the Varsity level. I can't wait to see his progression the next few seasons. He's going to be a nice player!

Bracken County girls basketball program took at least 2-3 step backwards when they didn't retain Patrick Kelsch as their head coach! Brackens loss was Robertson Counties gain! He is passionate and can flat out coach! Congrats to RC and Coach K on a fine season!
Appreciate the kind words! I'm just blessed to do what I love doing!

Congrats to Coach Patrick Kelsch, who took what was one player and a bunch of kids named Joe from a year ago and transformed them into a cohesive unit that had a winning season, went 16-14, took out favored Nicholas County in the district and got to play on the Grand Stage in March !!!
Absolutely phenomenal job!!!!
Thanks Mustang! I appreciate the kind words! I am blessed to have the opportunity to coach quality students athletes such as the ones at Robertson Co. They've worked hard this season and have improved from beginning to end. They've grown as players, but more importantly people.
They've accomplished a lot this season. Thanks to Coach John Brown for teaching these kids how to play basketball which made the transition for a new coach much easier. We've increased our win total to 16, finished with a winning season, and brought home Championship hardware at a Christmas tournament.
We're going to miss our 3 seniors: Dakota Moore, Austin Dugan, Myles Murphy! They've been a pleasure to get to know and coach! I'd love for any of my three children to grow up to be the people they are!
Proud of my Black Devils!
Best of luck to Coach Brooks and his Greyhounds! They're a great bunch of athletes and people! I wish them well!

It was played in Benton, Ky. The Black Devils drove 6 hours for the tournament! Christian Fellowship did an excellent job hosting this small school Christmas Tournament. The Black Devils defeated Fulton City, Dawson Springs, and Fulton Co. to win the tournament. Dawson Springs and Fulton Co. are two well coached ball clubs!
Black Devils definitely got better this week!

The Robertson Co. Black Devils capture 1st place in the Itty Bitty Trees and Trends Christmas Tournament.
Congrats to Mason Burden, Austin Dugan, and Alex Schalch for being named to the All Tournament Team.

In reference to ESPNDeux - That's an incorrect statement
Dayton 18/30
Villa 4/6
-
The Lady Devils got their first victory of the season, but was dealt a major blow in losing senior Breanna Hesler with what appears to be an ACL injury!
Madison Fryman lead the Lady Devils with 19
-
Villa Madonna is a very fundamentally sound team that has a solid 5/6 players. Schutzman and McIntyre are two great scoring guards.
Black Devils were down 10-15 most of second half and fought back and tied it at 65. VM got an offensive outback with 7 secs left to get the 67-65 win.
Hopefully we can learn how to win these close games and use this experience to get better as the young season progresses.
Congrats to Coach Dilts and Villa on a good win!

I can clear this up
I haven't applied, nor will I.
Have a great day.

Played our hearts out! They outshot us at the FT line 37-20, but we shot 75% from line

Thanks Randy for your updates

PK will be coaching the Lady Bears next season.
Is that what your sources are telling you?
-
Are you trying to say that Coach Kelsch's decision is as anticipated as Wiggins? Seriously?
I heard it again this weekend that his family has already moved and he's waiting for the banquet to give this class that he loves a propper send off.
Please refrain from including my family in this thread.
Thanks!

Any updates?
Our Banquet is scheduled for May 19th.

Once we declare a date for the banquet, I personally invite each of you so you can interpret my earlier post.
