  1. Trent is playing in his last Army game. He has been the starting qb since his freshman year and has broken many Army scoring/rushing records. Not bad for a player who got little attention in hs. Please don't hijack this thread by bringing up other players that you think are better. Let's just congratulate Trent.

  2. Something that has been mentioned upthread, but Bowling Green is fantastic at academics and is regionally very good in all sports. They have a tremendous support system that is built upon a school that has existed for 104 years and has played football since 1922. They do attract some talent from surrounding schools - they are hardly alone in that respect around here.

I appreciate DF's comments. I am most proud of the great job BGHS does with its academics. It has a very diverse school population, large percent of free/reduced lunch, large number of minorities, more that 20 different languages (ESL), and a very successful AP program. BGHS is also successful in other sports, for 2011-12, using the RIHERDS listed sports, they had a combined record of 189-44 (80+%) and were regional competitors in those same sports.

  3. I don't see anybody bragging , Just stating their opinion , no harm done. When was the last time BG played Elder , or for that matter Cincy X ? While I'm at it , did they ever srimmage Trinity ? HHS starting QB played one series in the Elder game due to injury.

As far as the state title games go , Highlands was playing a much better team than what BG was playing !

BG plays Trinity. St X this year and T the last 3 yrs and X before that. Last year T won 14-12. BG has almost the exact same team from last year just better.

  4. Anderson is a really good player. If Mason plays Greenwood anywhere but at Bowling Green in the small gym this would have been a different outcome. Is anyone from outside Bowling Green surprised that BG and Greenwood played in the finals. The referee's in the Franklin-Simpson and the Greenwood was horrible. One ref in the Franklin game made all kinds of simple mistakes like not knowing with way to go after time-outs and quarter stops. In the Greenwood game, Mason guards play in your face defense and the guards from Greenwood would swing the ball around and intentionally elbow or guards in the mouth and they would call the foul on Mason. Twice Anderson committed fouls under the basket and he even raised his hand and they reported the foul on #13. At one point in the second half, the fouls were 12 to 2 until when the game was in hand they called fouls on Greenwood. Mason shot 10 for 13 and Greenwood shot 24 for 36. Congradulations Greenwood. :ohbrother::ohbrother:

What do you mean by small gym?

  5. I obviously would have liked to see Central win, but I can't fully say that I'm upset that Bowling Green won't get that rematch. I don't think that would have ended well.

I don't know how a rematch would have turned out, but the BG team that played tonight was not the same one that played WC earlier.

  6. I suggest you go to a school adm office and talk to a DPP or other administrator and gather your information. They can also tell you which state regulations pertain to your question.

The info you get on a message board might not be the most reliable.

If you turned in a paper to me using message board info. you would certainly not get a good grade. Don't be lazy.
