It seems more like a deregulation which is usually a good thing.

Whitney Belle Jackson now has 1200 career rebounds which makes her the all time leading rebounder in Clay County Lady Tiger basketball history. She is also only 28 points shy of reaching 2000 points in her career. Congratulations Whitney Belle.

Impressive win by Manual. I thought North would play them a little closer.
-
Rockcastle has everything it takes to make a serious run at the state title this year.
-
Clay County shot 65% from the field in a game that was never close. Kayla Smith led Clay with 19, Belle Jackson had 12 and 10 rebounds, while Carla Booth led Sheldon Clark with 20.
-
South should win this one at home.

You can watch it on the internet
It will also be broadcast on WTVQ channel 36.

Congrats to Iroquois and to E-town for an outstanding game. I was surprised to see 2 fouls called in the last 15 seconds. I wonder if the over and back call had anything to do with that. As it turned out, going into OT was probably the best thing. Great HS girls basketball game. 2 great coaching jobs by Al and Tim.
I have also heard that this was the first championship OT game in the history of the girls state tournament. Bowling Green and WKU do a really nice job hosting the tournament. It will be there for at least the next 2 years.
Clay County defeated Clark County in three overtimes in 1989 at the Frankfort Civic Center.

The 13 Region Coaches Association voted Brian Harris from Jackson County coach of the year and Tyra as player of the year.
-
Great opener for the Lady Tigers as they had 14 different players to score in this game.
-
There is no entry fee for this tournament. Any middle school who wishes to participate may do so.
-
Stephanie played in the first game on Thursday night against Southwestern but did not play in any games after that.
-
Clay County should be the favorite in the girls this season. They return everyone from last years team.
-
Another solid performance from Gemma Gray with 21. Jordan Phillips had 12 for the Lady Tigers. Stephanie McCullah led Whitley with 15.

Clay County won this game on defense holding South to a season low 41 points and 25% from the field. Great job Lady Tigers.
-
Another good defensive effort by the Lady Tigers. That make 14 times this seaons that Clay County has held their opponent to under 40 points. The winning steak is now at 14.

Justin Hobbs hit the game winner on a putback at the buzzer. Great win for Coach Spurlock and the Tigers.
-
Page Jackson led a balanced attack for Clay with 13. Stephanie Jackson had 12, while Whitney Belle Jackson had 11. Holly Jones led Whitley with 10. Great defense by the Lady Tigers. Clay led 41 - 23 after 3 quarters. The Lady Tigers have won 13 straight to go 18 - 3.
-
Good road win for the Lady Tigers. Clay was up by 20 with just under 4 minutes to play and pulled their starters. Clay has a tough game tommorrow at Corbin against Franklin County. Congratulations on 11 straight wins.

The game was at North.

Where do you find the list of the winners of the player of the year. I looked on the KABC website and it did not have this years winners.
