  1. I think Clay Cecil will be one of the top QB's in State this year!!! He has been working very hard on the fundamentals for the QB position and I think he is going to surprise some folks. I am not a big fan of just throwing the ball long to spread the defense which we all know is a low percentage pass. I liked what I saw in spring ball mainly geared toward the intermediate passing attack which we haven't seen in some time. This kid is a leader and mark my word he is going to be fun to watch this year!!!

  2. Congrats to Ben!!! I missed the ICN6 program but I'm sure it will be on again or maybe Mom and Dad have a copy for me to see. Ben doesn't have to worry about filling the old man's shoes he'll do just fine at Centre. I saw him last night and he looks like he has been spending a lot of time in the weight room. Remember Ben, you have one thing going for you that your Dad didn't...Your Mom's temperament!!!

  3. cshs81 as mush as I would like to agree with you because I think its funny but the old man was actually an All American for Center in his playing days. I think it's great that Ben is going to Center. He has worked soooo hard for this...Congrats Ben!!!

  4. We can only hope that Cecil gets the opportunity to play LBer but I don't know if Dale wants to put his QB in that position unless he has to and it appears to me that there is plenty of depth at that position. We might see Cecil playing safety and if that happens I feel sorry for the opposing receivers!!! I know Cecil would love to play LBer.

  5. I think Austin Collinsworth and Travis Alford will open some eyes this year with their style of play. Austin is more of an elusive type runner but is not afraid to put his head down and run over you if he has to. Travis is more of a in-your-face type of runner that would rather run over you than around you. I think the two complement each other and provide a solid running attack for the Birds!!!

  6. The receiving crew last night consisted of #85 brandon roller, #84 colin rosenhagen, #16 kyle welz, #30 nick buten, #23 travis alford(out of the backfield). brandon roller made an excellent catch over the middle and broke two tackles and carried them into the end zone. Travis alford also made a short catch that went for extra yardage. And to the receiver that didn't make the catches last night, forget about it, we know you'll make more catches than drops and we'll see this as the year goes on...

  7. Log Mountain Boy, Your right, it's a shame that the field is talked about the way it has been, both teams played on the same field. It's also a shame that people are talking about an illegal player playing in the game. What happened two years ago is over, lets move on!!!
