  1. Paducah Tilghman will never lose another district game

Somehow I doubt that, but they should dominate, no doubt.

Have they found a new FB yet, I hear the one from last year has moved to the Lone Oak school district.

I also think PT may play up a class, more traditional rivals in the local district and not much difference in power teams in 3A and 4A.

  2. I believe it goes like this:

Mr. Football is automatically on team

Allstate Team selections mean very little

The coaches from each Region nominate 4 players

The top 4 vote getters from each region are automatically on team

Head Coach picks the rest, and Allstar game advisory committee can make recommendations, but final say so is up to Head Coach

Politics can weigh heavy at this point.

Hopefully we can pick a O-Line this year that won't be gassed after the 1st quarter

We would of won by 50 last year if we had blocked anyone.

  3. I know Mayfield has had a history with both Union City and Trousdale Co..

Mayfield played UCity 4 times in the 80's and 2 more in the 90's and, i believe have a 6-0 record against them and they took Mayfield off there schedule, however, in those days, they were rotating between 2a and 3a and had a large district schedule and had to take some games off there schedule to accomadate...Mayfield also played Trousdale Co in the late 90s on a 2 year contract, which we split the 2, losing the 1st at home 12-7 and winning the 2nd, on the road, 49-14...

Alcoa was far and away the best 2a team in Tn this year..Goodpasture wasnt expected to be there, as most of the knowledgable fans from the area felt the Huntington/Milan winner in the final 8 would represent the west. Huntington won the Milan game 33-21 and led Goodpasture 14-0 early and then fell apart with turnovers and lost 17-14...Huntington would have also lost to Alcoa, but, it would have been a much more competitive game...

Trousdale Co. has had a tough time with Ky. teams at home that start with the letter M. They lost to Mayfield, Monroe Co. and Muhlenberg South all at home between 1999 and 2001, I believe.

  4. Louisville does a nice job with their lineman and I am sure they will love his size. He would be a good fit for the Cards. They wouldn't be recruiting him if they didn't think he could develop.

Coach Summers at UL is one of the best O-LIne coaches in the country, and would be a great replacement as Head Coach when/if Petrino leaves.

  5. Since we already have this turf and Pizza Box experience, maybe it would be best for the Tigers to win so the West will have a better chance of being victorious over the East in the 4A final. Then again, if this game were played at WKU, then both Warren Central and X would have the turf experience and the Dragons, if victorious, would be turf-qualified representatives in the Pizza Box.

Good logic, I think a big crowd at WKU for 2 games would be great, I've heard though, that all participating teams are not interested in playing the games there. No facts known, just 2nd hand chatter.

  6. X didnt try and play the game at home last year when they had the chance. They moved it to better facilites at PJCS.

I'm just saying WC has a better chance of winning at home. Does WC still have the Dragon Fire win they score ?

X players are used to playing of turf and at the Pizza Box.

    :flame:

  7. Johnson had 90+ yards rushing and 4 catches for 78 yards.

Atcher got the bulk of the carries; I think he went for over 100.

Even though I didn't mention his name a lot in the updates, the OCath announcers did. He did play an integral part in the ballgame.

Atcher led the Falcons with 179 yards on 26 carries as Fort Campbell accumulated 423 total yards, including 319 on the ground.

Johnson, had 103 yards rushing on 15 attempts

Owensboro Catholic, had 393 total yards. Houston Kamuf led the Aces' ground attack with 82 yards.

Woodward, completed 24-of-39 passes for 283 yards

    Holland, 57-yard punt return
