I heard the job was filled today, but I don't know who was hired.

I wonder why in the world the Ads would be going all the way to Russellville.
They had to find some way to fill out the schedule.

I saw that excellent team! As I recall, they defeated T and X in succession (the X game was a thriller) to win the title. Whatever happened to the rb's on that team?
BTW, very good idea for a thread.
Those were some great games! I remember seeing Trinity come out take take up half the field during warm ups.

Last Friday Trimble Matt Jennings had 9 catches for 171 yards vs Macon and held Macon to 1 catch. Jennings is very underrated.
Are u sure on those stats, because I remember Macon having three catches.

I liked Highland's stadium. It is very intimidating to the visiting team.

Hazard was 9-2 last year lost about 14 seniors, they have a few seniors mainly lineman and reciever Hoskins, but most of skill players are freshmen and soph. Hazard is probably a year or two away from playing on this level.
I have read that they were 9-2 and 5-6, that is a big difference just wondering which is correct.

I must admit that I get nervous when a kid says "I need to work on my grades."
Here's hoping the fact that its still early in this youngster's high school academic career will allow him to "get right with the books."
If a sophmore is working on grades it is a lot different than when you hear a junior or a senior say that they are working on grades. Those guys working it is almost too late and definitely to late as a senior. I think that is a good thing that he is saying something like that so the he can make sure he has everything together on his part.

u can offer a kid in middle school if you want. you just can not send an official offer letter until sept 1 of their junior year
I think there was a kid in Arkansas that committed to Arkansas as a middle schooler in basketball. I am not 100% sure but it was being talked about on the Dan Patrick show.

Wow, I didn't expect this one.
-
Lafayette's QB went to middle school in Danville. Just think with the recievers that are here now, how dangerous that could be.
-
I totally agree! Especially when he drug about 7 guys into the endzone, two of which asked for a piggy back ride. On the other side of the ball, Jacob Bryant was flawless at the tight end poistion of the Admirals, and the Admirals offensive line seemed to bake up pancakes like a country diner. In your eyes what is a pancake?

This one won't be a very long game. If it is, its because GC is trying to throw it, and they are not very good at that.
-
How many receiving yards did Miller have?
-
Southwestern will win this one 40-21, unless Somerset's pass defense has improved.
-
I just read that the Ads sophmore receivers Leonard Macon and Derrik Henderson compined for 207 receiving and 3 scores. They are weapons!

Danville has one of the top 5 natural grass football facilities in the state.
-
This one could get ugly. 49-0 Boyle.
-
I would say we will see some this year. I don't know what to expect from LCA. But, the very next week we play South Laurel. They aint no joke. Then that game with Boyle in september. We also have a tough road game to Newport.
Every game will be the biggest game they will play in. The season will get long and I hope it doesn't take a toll on them emotionally by draining them.

I didn't see the scrimmage. How did our fullback look?
He made a nice run agains West and ran a kid over on the side line. He hit up in the holes hard and blocked well. At first I thought that he was the Walker kid, then I found out he was held out. Against Danville I didn't see much out of him.
-
I would also like to see how Mercer handles adversity.
-
Well, we have plenty of backs. I say rest him. No need to rush him back. Anyone heard who will start at qb?
Yes, there are. Who was the kid at full back?
-
Mercer wins big in this one. LCA has not seen speed like they have.
-
The Walker kid is a good back, but he has been hurt since track season.
-
Jacob Bryant for Danville had a good day, he had an interception, a deflection, and returned a fumble for the touchdown for Danville. Daylen Morris had a good game also. The Danville/mercer scrimmage was a good one to watch. There was a big crowd there.
