  1.

Darryl Hicks from Shelby County to Trinity.

Rodney Haddix from Lexington Catholic to Scott County.

Larry Morton from Dunbar to Lexington Catholic.

Ineligible player costs Dunbar wins | High school basketball | Kentucky.com

Neils Bunschoten from Netherlands to Scott County.

There's a few players who were high profile and yet were still found to be ineligible.

Yeah but nowadays they just get injunctions.

  2. This doesn't make any sense because I would not call St X or Trinity a sleeping giant. First year coaches don't get jobs like those. I would call schools like Tates Creek and Hopkins County Central sleeping giants. I'd take either one of those schools as a first year coach and expect to do well after a few years.

  3. Your last 5 words are crucial. My understanding from another post on here is that some of the kids live on campus while going to school. The question of who pays for this expense comes into play. Since Cordia is a county school ( not private) are the citizens of Knott Co. picking of the tab of educating them by their taxes while the parents of the "absentee" parents pay no county taxes since they don't live locally? Just lots of questions in this situation.

The answer is yes the residents are paying the bill for a winning basketball team. I would think that proving the parents didn't set up their "permanent residence" in Cordias district would be good easy enough to prove.

  4. EGOs?

I believe NCC is looking for games and all teams are booked. Ron Dawn is running summer workout different than Brannen (not good or bad).

I've heard their open gyms have been intense with multiple college players (4 or 5 D1) attending.

NKY Bandit must have an ax to grind. Relax and count to ten.....

No one said coaches are afraid of NCC.

Look in Stinkboys comment it says they can't find someone "willing" to scrimmage. That implies teams are afraid.

  5. Heard Cordia lost by like 30-40 to Harlan the other day. Also heard they are having problems within the team...That's not a good sign. If it's true' date=' I hope Coach Rhodes can get this straightened out. Cordia should be very very good this season, looking forward to watching them.[/quote']

I'm surprised parents aren't upset he keeps taking their kids playing time.

  6.

Both came back during the prior school year... I'd say neither will have eligibility issues.

McClendon's mom also works for the Covington schooling system...not sure if It's with the BOE or not but that played a part in getting both him and his sister back in the CIPS system.

Mcclendons address better have changed otherwise he won't be eligible. You have to physically make a move or in the case of private to public show a drastic decline in family income. I am guessing he will be eligible but if he just gets a new address, I'd be all over that of I was Holy Cross. Players need to suck it up and stop this transfer nonsense. If players transferred every time they had a disagreement with coach or principal, every player would leave.

  7. Got to see Grant County today. I saw you Redhawknation sitting in the stands. Any way you join your buddies staff?

Not as of right now. In the middle of getting my masters and don't know if I have time to really commit. He has a few candidates: 1) GC grad and excellent player 2) former player if his at Ryle 3) Assistant coach in Louisville

I don't want to give names until he finalizes them. I think he'll have a good staff maybe not complete until August though.

  8. I thought he had said he was going to wait until the very end of the process to make an informed decision. Good for him though. I'll be pulling for the kid regardless.

I wonder if he would have gotten that UK offer had he waited.

Surprised none of our OSU BGP members didn't have the scoop on this.

He wouldn't. Good player but I really don't think he is an elite player. Has disappeared at times in games. Hopefully I'm wrong. Good kid.

  9.

If you are talking about Plunkett, you have been given some bad information and you are mistaken. They just had a baby and he had no desire to coach because he wanted to be a father and watch his child grow up. Family first and coaching wasn't his top priority.

Respect! I just hope that's the case. Was told he would've came back with Hicks. I'll see Grammer tomorrow at NKU and ask about his assistants.

  10.

    1. I know Reinhart for sure and a few others that I am not familiar with.

    2. Close bond with Hicks and hostility towards the administration seems to be the answer. I think it's somewhat childish that they won't give the new coach a chance but its their decision. I really wouldn't be surprised if Carr returns next year. Grant will be a contender (no matter who the coach is) and Carr will be the main stud of the team. Leaving makes no sense.

When did Reinhardt interview? Who are the others?
