WOW!!!:confused:My understanding from FCPS coaches is that this is a "bell to bus" rule. In other words, coaches have two hours from the end of school to get their kids out of practice. This includes film session, weightlifting, and practice, itself.Pretty tough to build a program that way.

I did too. I just find it hard to believe that's a rule. Pretty tough to succeed under those restraints.Assume it is a practice time limit? -
There are some pretty significant issues with athletics in FCPS, in general - such as the "two-hour" rule.[/QUOT Can you explain the " 2 hour rule"?

They are a good team. They were beaten by a good team. They can have a good season if they can stay together after Scott . Biggest problem is depth. A lot playing both ways and I don't know if they are tough enough to do that. Again, thanks PIG.Well, what's the season look like for Clay after watching the opener? Tough schedule with Scott Co. next week, then the district schedule. -
Thanks, Pig. Conditioning, toughness, KC's, D-Line, playing both ways are 4 reasons and KC has a good football team. They will have a good year.Just 6 points by Clay????? -
Clay ran 4 different plays from two formations. Both teams are talented but it doesn't count until next week.  Yep! Clay didn't want to show much either. Dudley would have put 50 points on Clay if he could have. I say both teams looked pretty good. -
Cold chills down my back!! That feeling on Friday nights, there's nothing like it. What about all those people who have never experienced it?
-
Who does Scott Co. scrimmage? Who do they open up with?
-
Everyone went home except for four teams after 3 players went to the hospital for heat and body cramps. It was 117 degrees on the turf. There were a lot of good teams and talent.Harlan County won the 2010 Union College Passing Tournament. They advanced through Knox Central, Rowan County, Powell Valley Va, Leslie County and beat Louisville Fairdale 37-14 for the championship.Boyle
Letcher Central
North Laurel
Lynn Camp
Cumberland Gap TN
Bell County
Clay County
Southwestern Pulaski
The above teams were also there in no order.

Why do you need to know?I don't know if it is anyone, at all. I was told that the player transferring was an all-state running back at Trinity last season, and Bishop was the only name I could find that fit the description.Personally, I couldn't see this as being true, but you never know what will happen. I would like to find out if there is any truth to this, though.

Booher already has applied and been in town.

Clay will have a good season then. Hookier is a very good athlete. How many seniors did they lose from last year?
Five
-
Will Hooker play this season?
Yes

Way to go Coach Steep

Seriously, what's your problem With Aarron? Wherever he is you seem to have a grudge? Good luck to him.:confused:Stepp never stays anywhere long. HC will better off in the long run IMO. His style of football is not conducive to wining playoff games and games that matter.I asked the same question on the other thread will Graham try to move back to Cynthiana?

Did he really say that? How about adding a poll for this one?I would really like to root for Pulaski to win this one because they've got some really good kids on thier team, but after this quote by Coach Hines in Saturday's Commonwealth Journal I just can't:
“We’ll claim that city championship again,” pointed out Hines. “We were fortunate enough to beat Southwestern, who did beat Somerset, and of course you know Somerset is just a little old single A school that doesn’t want to play all the other big schools. Since they wouldn’t play us this year, we’ll claim that city championship, and we’re glad to have it.”
Just an unnecessary shot when he should have been happy about his team's playoff win. Somerset had nothing to do with Pulaski's win or even their season this year for that matter. He seems to try to get in a shot on his Alma Mater any chance he gets though so we're used to it.
As for this week's game I think it is scary that the Colonels were able to shut out a South Laurel team that scored 60 on the Maroons. I think Pulaski has improved a lot the last few weeks but I think they are outmanned this week. Whitley County 34-Pulaski County 20.

What does that mean? The mountains lost two great players in Lewis and Bowling tonight. This is the end of an era. Maybe the coaching change wasn't what was needed at Clay. -
So Bowling didn't break the record?
-
How did the Jumpers do?Bout what I thought would happen, Clay just can't transfer middle school and JV success to the varsity. -
Who won this game? Did they play?
-
So Harlan saved Homecoming for Clay. Interesting.Homecoming at HHS. Any thoughts on this one as both teams prepare for the playoffs? -
Zach Lewis was 21 for 29 for 391 yds. and 3 TD's. He now is the state's all time passing leader with 12,490 yds. He and all the Clay County kids played very hard.
