  1. Here's the problem with games being not as close as the score indicates. Greenup at Bourbon wasn't nearly as close as 34-30. Greenup scored on a fluke fumble recovery, was gifted a TD right before halftime when the runner clearly didn't cross the goal line and finally at the end, Bourbon was playing a prevent defense and Greenup scored with under a minute left. The score realistically should have been 34-10.

Greenup could have won that game. 24-24 and driving a high snap stopped that drive. The fumble recovery TD was inside the 20. That games was two pretty evenly matched teams. Big plays won it for Bourbon. They have a very athletic team but a very suspect defense. Will be exposed vs Ashland.

  2. I had heard the setup would be losers of the district consolation games would have a blind draw (similar to regional draw, can't draw who you just lost to,) and they would draw the winners (or 3 seeds) of the consolation games, games would be played at the 3 seed home court, money would be split between those 2 teams only. Then, the 4 winners of those games would again have a blind draw and they would draw the district runnerups (or 2 seeds), games would be played on the 2 seeds home floor and the money would be split just between those 2 teams, the winners of those 4 games would then advance to the Expo Center and have a blind draw with the District Champions (or 1 seeds) for the final 8 teams left, is this not the way they set it up??? This way the district champions were guaranteed of being in the Final 8, a reward for winning the district.

That just gave me a headache......
