The Birds should run the ball until Cooper proves they can stop them. Limit the possession’s that high scoring offense that Cooper has. 

Will Paducah be coming by school bus or by a charter bus? Big difference in comfort for a long ride?

If O’Hara has 105 yards passing Friday night I believe the highlands will win easily.

I know that the 2009 Birds were undefeated and played Cincinnati St X and won. I believe that Cincinnati StX run ruled Trinity and Lou StX that year. I believe the 2010 team would have won six A also.

The birds need to forget what happened in the regular season. It’s win and play on! Play the game like it’s going to be your last, mistake, free, penalty free and do your assignment.

Their quarterbacks typically remind me of a magician, that’s why I say that you have to really pay attention to what the quarterback is doing. I did not say anything against any other players. I have not seen Scott County this year, so I can’t comment on any other players.

The key for Cooper to win will be determined by how well the linebacker’s read the Scott County Qb. I think Cooper will score enough points to win but I think defense is the deciding factor.

It was good seeing Rio get some action throwing the ball around in this game. I thought he looked really good. He will be special when his time comes!

That’s great that he got to be the holder for extra points in all four quarters Friday night but that doesn’t give him game reps at Qb. 
I  agree he is going to be a great Qb at Highlands but he still needs live game reps against a defense. 
 The comment you made about the two freshmen holding down the JV just proves my point. They’re playing in two football games a week against live action.Just my opinion 

Did Rio play? He didn’t play last night. He should be playing JV if he doesn’t play on Friday nights. 

I would fire the Birds DC!  You can’t play press coverage with no safety over the top. 

Can you buy tickets at the gate or do you have to get them online?

Highlands has had a guy doing stats for like 40 plus years! Maybe he knows?

When you run horizontal from the 1 yard line it is a recipe for a safety! I will take a couple of runs to give the punter a little room in case you have to punt.  See it happen every Saturday and Sunday!

Did he step out of the end zone? Two Highlands players had him wrapped up driving him  backwards. 

Nice win Birds! If they took better care of the football in the first quarter this game could of been a blow out!

I would put Highlands 04 and 09 teams against any team from this year. Both teams finished National ranked. The 04 team had one loss against Elder. The 09 was undefeated and had a marquee win against Cincinnati St  X. The Cincy X beat both Trinity and Louisville St X handily that season.

Agree with you 100%. I say that when this team decides to play for one another and the program and not just themselves is when Highlands will be back as a program.

Way too many individuals making a good play and celebrating themselves and looking for approval from the Highlands crowd.

Approval by your peers is gained by showing respect to your opponents, your teammates and your school. 

Keep working hard Birds, the majority of the kids have bought in…
