  1. Can't wait for the new football schedule to come out. Looking forward to the new season. CCH Alumni should be very excited about the talent they have and the youth program is doing better than ever. Youth football Numbers are at there highest. CCH grade school football not only continues to compete in the CYF league but win multiple championships in several grade levels. Should be fun to watch.

I'll say it, I think this schedule, THIS year, is a bridge too far.  New QB, likely a young QB, and you're throwing him and them to the wolves.  You could, conceivably, start out the year 2-3...and if you open with 3 straight losses, who knows how the young men will react.  Full faith in Eddie & his staff, but this seems like a tough ask to open the year two those three games, and follow them up with a Dixie team that about got you this year, and then at Beechwood (which is always an odd game given the "rivalry" aspects of it).

All good points! Eddie must know something maybe we don’t???

You have zero credibility with me!  Next man up you mention a QB name Hoyt.  We all know Holtz he played in the FTJFL.  You don’t know Chase at SK who is a heck of a QB; but you can throw out this 6’2” 165 up coming sophomores.  I don’t talk trash never dished on your program.  I obviously know to be the best you have to beat the best!  Right now the Birds are not there; but the nest is forming and boy I can’t wait until it does.  Your posts remind me of those runaway scores of yesteryears.

Bro, lol relax. You take this wayyy to serous. Look at you going through old post. Calm it down. Lol, you made my morning. Good day

CCH has talent for sure!  Eddie has done a fantastic job with that program but MM is not there and last years HHS Senior class was not strong and everybody knows it.  What I am saying is the programs are going to be much closer in results.  It may not happen next year but I am certain it will be much better product on the field.

I am saying the Birds will return to the nest and take pride and ownership in the program

Dude, how can you say that Senior class was not strong? They beat your team a 40-0! Then again in the playoffs! Here’s some advice worry about getting better. Don’t talk about CCH. Worry about beating Conner.

That class lost Hergott and Buten for starters and Vinson opted for basketball only (certainly understand that). Compound that with COVID.  A lot of kids in junior and sophomore class played.  CCH had a 3 year varsity starting QB.

HHS played and won JV game.  Trust me the talent is close.  I hope it happens next year it may not but if you think CCH is light years ahead you are going to be sadly mistaken.

So I understand your basing CCH lack of Talent on QB leaving and a JV win by a late score? Listen , put me down for praying that HHS gets back to old form. I want them to dominate!! I want 10,000 people at those CCH /HHS games BUT for all You recruiting experts CCH has talent and I can’t wait for that game.

I absolutely agree, Coach Sphire and BirdNation could be coming together at the perfect time when Cov Cath doesn't have the talent that they were blessed with for the last 4 years or so.  I realize they still will be a great team but they won't be that "Elite" team like they were during the Mayer Era.

😳 WOW love it. Next couple years will definitely be fun to watch.

How do you justify this?  All head coaches of boys and girls sports are working 52 weeks a year for their programs.  The big three sports should be pretty equal IMO.  So HHS is going to pay the running back coach or defensive line coach more than the head baseball coach?

    Head Football Coach:  $16,000

    Head Basketball Coach:  $8276

    Head Baseball Coach:  $4966

    Five assistant football coaches:  $6698

Well, why does John C make $9mill and Stoops $4.7mill? Geno Auriemma $2.4mill and Randy Edsall (UConn's football coach) $1.4mill?

Get better, win more and then you get paid more. Never said it was easy BUT it’s the truth.

Speed is great, we had plenty last year at the WR spot, just didn’t get the ball them/ catch it consistently. The RB spot is another story, though we did have injuries there this past season that was a factor. And I think Zion will be a big lift on the outside next year. If the Rodriquez kid has that level of speed I’m sure he’ll play some wr, I’ve heard good things about him. But the TE in addition to catching passes actually blocks more often, going up against DL and LB’s. I think earlier in this or another thread someone said the kid is 6’2” and 160lbs.  Sullivan, Jones, and Wilson are all 6’2” or taller and all over 215lbs.

Listen it’s a great problem to have. I don’t care who Eddie picks just pick the best that will help us execute. Eddie will have athletes to pick from.
I hope all these kids are working their tails off.

Having seen Crone, Pitzer and Agee all play it would be Crone's job easily at either BW or CCH. He has had a high degree of success with a slight drop this year but experience in big games, great athleticism along with 2 years to play (assuming he is immediately eligible) makes him an easy choice. Pitzer has a good upside needs a fair amount of  development still - great kid and has some CCH legacy there. Agee is a nice athlete who gives flexibility to play and upgrade you at multiple spots if he weren't the QB. Isn't there a Soph or JR on the CCH depth chart who would also be in the mix?

Nice problem for CCH to potentially have. Not a good look at SK potentially.

I'll put my money on Pitzer. Already 6’4 165. Throws a baseball around 80 MPH. The kid is a stud. Add the Eddie factor his potential is through the roof. Again what a great problem to have. Several studs.

    QB BATTLE:

    Pitzer

    Hoyt (probably spelled wrong)

    Transfer?

The Def will better then last year!

    **more speed an athleticism
