Intense defense for both teams. I'm going to watch this one again but it seemed like Ashland had the most success when they played an extended zone. I may be mistaken but their comeback and eventual lead ran concurrently with their longest stretch of zone. Water under the bridge at this point but if one of these two teams wins the 16th (as expected) their defense could allow them to pull an upset or two at Rupp. I don't have the stats but Ashland's mid and long range shooting was uncharacteristically bad. A lot of that can be attributed to Boyd's defense but they did miss a lot of open shots (and so did Boyd). Both teams left a lot on the table, should be a fun time in Morehead, especially with Fleming and a few others with plenty enough talent and coaching to play the spoiler role.

16th region has a very tough draw.

I was at the game. Cov Cath is a very nice team. Obviously don't get alot of fouls called when shooting 3s. They never called any fouls on putting pressure on our PG. Almost pulled Villers shorts off at half ct, no call plain view. Someone said that is one of the better crews?????  One guy probably only made 3 calls entire game. They spent a good bit of time before the game fraternizing with CC team. 30 to 2 is just way tot big of discrepancy. Also someone on here commented that it was do to Ashland fouling in the 4th. It was 22 to to at that point.

Bowling Green has a really nice team. Ashland can't keep taking 3's when they don't fall. Too many quick shots. At one point in the game buttry (nice player) had 14 ft to ashlands 3.

Ashland hasn't won the region,but that might not be a good thing to wish for.

Kid slid in have to allow playroom to come down. Maybe was grabbed also before that. Fouls were 4 to 1 most of second half in favor of west. Poor clock management cost them the game more than that shot

If they can win at East Carter Tuesday they will tie for 2nd best start in school history with the '61 state champ team. Nice streak but not the focus.

It may be 1700 but I think they lost some seating when they added the chair backs. I think 1200 may be low. I'm pretty sure there was a game suspended 30 or 40 yrs ago due to the same thing

Not sure , I'm guessing maybe 1200 will put it on here tomorrow. Largest crowd last nite since oj mayo was at rose hill. I know boyd used to say that they had a certain # and dicky had them counted
