I say do 2 preseason games, off week before play and add 1 game.
-
If you hand picked a 1A all-star team, 3 deep at every position in all 3 facets of the game, could they beat Trinity?
Yes.
Trinity isnt God. They can be beat.

Does Corbin play any players both ways?
-
Slight advantage up front? Not to be bias or anything, but Beechwood may arguably have one of the best or the best offensive line and defensive line in the whole entire state. They have 2 Divison 1 athletes anchored on the D-line and O-line and a good majority of them are 3 year starters. Adam Derry, Dayton Baugh, Noah Fisher, John Willis, Duncan Baugh, and Luke Bolger are studs up front and cause havoc. They are much larger then Corbin up front and have a lot more speed and tenacity. Beechwood defientley has the upper hand for their lineman facing Corbin. As for depth, Corbin obviously wins since they’re a 3A school and have the advantage of having more players. Skill wise, I think Beechwood is better. They have extremely athletic kids like Castleman and Odom who are also Divison 1 athletes for baseball. This game will be an absolute brawl. The Tigers just need to shut down their quarterback and I think they will be going home with a win. Go Tigers
How many players does Beechwood play both ways?
-
Just my opinion.
BUT.
Cinn should never beat UCLA in football.
-
Was it a bank robbery or just a random shooting.
-
You can also see the first KFC before you cross over the bridge into Corbin. But the KFC is in Laurel Co, and not Corbin.
-
I do know who would love to see this game.
The Big Dipper.
A radio personality from Hazard who died about 15yrs ago.
Always called Beechwood, Beechnut and the place they are from the Triangle.
Some of you may remember him.
-
No they will not get a fair shake.
It’s not like those officials will ever see the people from Beechwood again and most officials live in or close to Corbin and know their coaches personally.
I don’t think the refs are going to go into the game to cheat, but the old saying goes you could call a hold everytime, well don’t be shocked to see a few.
I guess home teams should get benefit of doubt.
Hopefully no injuries.
-
Well leave the light on for ya.
-
Beechwood, Hazard, Pikeville.
Those 3 could beat the rest of 1A.
-
Good till the last drop.
Melts in your mouth, not in your hands,
Let go of my eggo.
Snap, Crackle, Pop.
Call the Hammer.
AMERICAS TEAM!

How is Corbin at the line of scrimmage? The strength of Beechwood is their line on both sides of the ball.
Corbin has the best of the best.
Skill kids everywhere.
3 sets of new helmets and may bring out the chrome for this game.
Basically a small college team number wise.
-
Beechwood will have a tough time at Corbin, very hard place to go into and win.
If coming south be prepared for lots of construction on I75.

BREAKING NEWS: Polls are useless 99% of the time.
That is a fact.

Hate games on Labor Day.

I’m not shocked. It’s not like they are playing some cupcake teams.
Those teams are really good and would be the dominant team in Ky if they were here.
Trinity ain’t God, they are beatable.
I think it’s a disservice to the other teams and coaches to assume Trinity should win.
-
Why didn’t they play?
Every team in Lexington played!
IMO Harlan Co just didn’t want to take another loss.
-
At Meece
Good game after weather delay.
-
No doubt there are some like that. They are not the majority.
I agree but you get to the real rural areas in SE Ky and its easy to draw a check instead of work.

Again, participation and achievement numbers don't support your argument. Do some of those types you talk about exist? Yes. But to broadly categorize the entire generation as "sorry" is just a lazy, "you kids stay off my grass" argument. I work with today's youth on a daily basis. And as a whole, they are much harder working than I ever was as a teenager in the 80's. The number one thing I see pulling kids out of football or keeping them from playing sports in general, isn't other sports. It's that they have decided to work nearly full time hours. Again, I work with kids EVERY DAY. I simply do not see what you describe.
These higher participation numbers are refreshing, and exciting to hear.
I work with kids everyday too and 100% stand by what I say. I hear the kids talking about it all the time. Their parents teach them to scam the system.
-
I guess I just don’t understand what you mean by “too sorry to do anything”. Besides the fact that more kids are playing sports than ever, and more are achieving in school at higher levels it’s really hard to argue that kids are “lazy”. These numbers just don’t support that.
There are TONS of kids nowdays. More than ever. Kids are too sorry to do stuff, they would rather go home and do nothing because its hard to do something and easy to do nothing.
They also learn that from their parents.
A lot of kids want to be artist like their parents and DRAW A CHECK. They definetly are taught that by their parents.
-
One other thing about these participation numbers. It kinda proves that today’s kids aren’t necessarily lazy, and just sitting around the house playing video games like many believe.
Well I have to respectfully disagree.
Lazy is still there, and may just add in they are too sorry to do anything.
