Every CCHS girl played significant minutes in this game. 11 girls scored points in the victory and the big 3 only scored between 23--20 points in the game. Jenkins won their game today against Warren Central, so their self esteem must not have damages to much in the loss last night.

The Lady Camels have finished the day at South Warren in the FNB Holiday Bash. They beat Warren Central in the afternoon game 87-- 28 and crushed Jenkins 111 -- 29. The will play Hopkinsville tomorrow at 5:00pm.:taz:

For those wanting to see the CC vs SHA match up. You will have to wait until February 2nd at Sacred Heart.

In order for the Lady Camels to beat Mercer and SHA, they need someone (other than the big 3) to step up and score. EasyEdge talked about Mercer's depth and it showed last night that CCHS doesn't have that 4th scoring option. If the talent is there, the girls need to prove they can contribute on a consistent basis night in and night out. Go Camels -- beat Bullitt East.

I agree that Mercer County is a very good team, but outside of Sacred Heart their opponent's record this season is 16 -- 27. Campbell County has played and defeated several National and State ranked teams (Montini Catholic, Male, GRC, Ryle, Mount Notre Dame, & E-town). The Lady Camels are battle tested and will be ready for a great game tonight against the Lady Titans.

Mercer has already beaten Sacred Heart , so logic says that if CCHS wins tonight they should be KHSAA #1. The Lady Camels will play Sacred Heart in early February.

41 -- 31 in the 4th quarter. E-town just went on a run to cut into the Camel lead.

Quarterfinals for tomorrow are the following based on the bracket.

Top half: Edmonson County vs. Mercer County & Campbell County vs Elizabethtown

Bottom half: Holmes vs. Southwestern & Bowling Green vs Bullitt East

Not sure what method they used to set up the games, but the host school certainly has an easier path to make it to the finals.

I would like to steal a thread from the Volleyball site. With the announcement of St. Henry GK Cory Riegler to Morehead. I was wondering who else is planning on continuing their soccer careers at the next level. I have watched several of the local HS Seniors and Juniors either competing with or against my daughter for the past several years.

E-town will also be at the Queen of the Commonwealth this week, so the potential for them to play either Mercer County or Campbell is very high depending on the brackets.

Didn't Ryle already beat Conner by 15 points? How can they be ranked behind them with similar records? Ryle is 6 -- 3 and Conner is 6--1. The Hoops for Harvest games can even be compared -- Canton Glen Oak is a Division 1 School while Tecumseh is a smaller school (D 3 or 4).

Great game by the Lady Camels. Schwarber was a beast; scoring 22 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Her energy and effort on the floor is so much fun to watch.

Taylor Clos hit an off balanced shot from way outside with under 4 seconds left to win the game. Congrats to Lexi Stapleton who scored her 2,000 point tonight. What a tremendous effort by the Lady Camels.

The Lady Camels have dealt with "big" before and won handily. Montini Catholic had a 6'3" commit to OSU & 6'5" commit to Wake Forest.

The Camels also have a win over National Ranked Montini Catholic in the Hoops for Harvest event held at Dixie Heights.

Mount Notre Dame is the reigning Division 1 Ohio State Champs. Not sure who they return from last year's team. This is CCHS 5th game against a National and or State ranked team. Coach Menefee has definitely created a battle tested schedule for the Camels.
