TD shearer on the run

Sk can’t get anything going. Ballard helped by roughing the passer.

Awful. So sad.

If I recall correctly, Highlands has done that before. That’s why they had to play on Thanksgiving at Bell County in 1992. Probably not as big a deal as it used to be with all the video out there now.

Neither SK or Ryle are true 6A threats, just saying.
Along with 28 other 6A schools
-
Keep in mind none of this matters, everyone is playing for second place. No one is beating Trinity. Good luck Raiders, I hope they win.
Yeah but Campbell County is playing for 2nd place in the district.

They are a 6a school. Beechwood is 1a and plays Lloyd, Somerset, Corbin, Covington Catholic, Simon Kenton and New Cath. They by far play the toughest overall schedule in NKY.
Beechwood by far has the toughest schedule in 1A but with Holy Cross,Bellevue and Dayton are on there it drags the overall way down.

2. Highlands
3. Ryle
4. Cooper

"Could this one come down to the kicking game? Who has the edge there?"
Ryle has arguably one of the top, if not the top, kickers in the State in Junior-Mason Molique. He has been a 3 year Varsity starting kicker and has put up outstanding numbers and listed on several KY KHSAA Kicking Records. Accuracy with a strong leg has been his strength. Nicknamed by the Ryle faithful as "Mr. Automatic". Give him a good snap and hold, and consider it good. Molique was selected the 1st Team Preseason All-TriState kicker (OH, IN, KY) as a Junior, and was a 2016 Louisville Courier Journal KY All State Honorable Mention last year as Sophomore. He was also named the Univ. of Cincinnati Overall Specialist Camp Champion at UC this past Summer, and was selected as a 2019 National Top 20 Prospect this Summer by Chris Sailer Kicking during the National Underclassmen Event in Tampa, FL. Molique has officially been noted as a 2019 UC recruit, and is on the watch list at other D1 schools. This kid puts in the work during the off-season to perfect his craft which is why rarely, if it all, have I ever seen Ryle lose a kicking game the past 3 years. FYI - Molique hit a 37 yard FG to end the 1st half against SK last season that would have been good from 45+.
Impressive. Hopefully he’s kicking field goals Friday and not extra points.

Just to clarify- if we want to get mathematical, CCH and SK share 3 out of CCH's 8 opponents thus far: Highlands, Beechwood and Cooper...37.5%.
Back to the game.
To this point. 60% when the regular season is over in two weeks when Dixie, Ryle and Campbell County join the list.
-
Since Ryle lost to Covcath and SK is way better than Covcath, Ryle has no chance in this one. SK’s tough schedule against the best in the state has prepared them well for this moment. Ryle shouldn’t even show up so they can protect themselves
When you rip SK’s schedule you’re also ripping 60% of the Colonels schedule.

SK needs to work out some kinks in their pass defense. Run defense was solid.
