Jackie Young was named Naismith Player of the Year. Gatorade does not name their National Player of the year to next week I think. Boley was a top 5 finalist for the Naismith and I would think one in the Gatorade also. Next week we shall see.

Yeah the nobody outside e-town knows who she is comment is awful and does nothing good for anyone, not Creech (who is a 3 star), and certainly not her community image.

I just did a search and somebody's post popped up. You have to be the person's friend to comment on it. I also seen a comment along the lines of "Creech is known nationally and the winner isn't know outside of ETown."

Sad how people on Facebook were crying that "politics" were the reason Boley was chosen. This was the obvious choice.

Very deserving

This is a valid point. I'm from the 14th and saw Creech play 4 times this year. She's a heck of a player but there's no way she saw the competition that Boley encountered. I haven't seen Boley play but by reading about what she's done and how all the major schools such as UConn wanted her, I'm sure she would have had her way in the 14th.

Yeah. Boley was recruited by all of the top schools. UConn was begging her to come but she ended up choosing ND. This is not a knock against Whitney Creech at all. She did great things and accomplished things that nobody probably ever will but when the smoke settles, Boley is one of if not the best girls basketball player to come out of this state. She has played against not only the best in Kentucky but some of the best in the nation and is still dominant on that stage. Good luck to ETown in the game tomorrow against Butler, which I feel will determine the state champion. Great job Whitney on an amazing career and good luck at WKU!

What's the difference between Class "A" and regional coach of year? All three coaches are from A schools.

I agree Tiger. I hate how people flash numbers and say "Look, the numbers say it all." Put ETown in the 14th and Jenkins in the 5th and see how it works out.

IMO it'll be Franklin County or Holmes coming out of the top of the bracket. The bottom of the bracket is completely loaded with Murray and Manual being an incredible first round matchup. I can't decide on who will come out of the bottom side.

I think Paris wins by 10-15. Garrard and crew will have enough to get it done. This is my only sure pick. I feel like the other three quarterfinals could go either way.

If the stronger teams play we probably don't get a 79 to 14 score at the regional tournament. Love the blind draw. at the district level..

GRC and Bracken would have been a much more competitive game. Bracken was above and beyond the second best team in the 39th and it's not even close.

I was wondering if anybody has a list of which regions are officiating each regional tournament, boys and girls? Thanks!
