  1. I bet you did.

I did ..... I worked for a company and Buster Patterson would show up once a month...they'd cut a "petty cash" check for $6000 cash it .....and hand Buster the money ....we had another UK player whose dad worked there but he actually showed up and worked.....Buster just showed up and got his cash under the table

I don't really care if you believe me

...Buster and his wife moved to Union KY for Patrick's UK years ....

I saw the whole thing.....everyone in the company knew about it....

  2. And you obviously aren't bright enough to get my point .....Campbell County High School is 3 times the size of the "average" high school in the region

My point is they have the ADVANTAGE every year in having such a large enrollment

I don't really care who you are ....you made an assumption and you were wrong ....and I stand by both of my original assertions

The fact that Kentucky has 1 class in basketball doesn't nullify the fact that large schools have an advantage ......which is ALL I FRIGGING SAID

  3. Birdbrain

First of all, I challenged an umpire's ruling

The league rules allow that a coach can question a "rules" call....it wasn't a safe or out or balls or strikes

The league rules also state the opposing coach is NOT ALLOWED to inject himself

You weren't there .....you don't have a clue and I don't think the guy is a bad coach because he's a jerk.....plenty of jerks are good coaches

He's just not one of them

  4. True .....the All A us not technically "post season" but only because the KHSAA tournament is post season..... allowing Cordia to participate in the tournament breaks the "spirit" of the ruling

They're supposed to be suffering a penalty....for cheating and gaining an unfair advantage ....in a way which is serious enough to warrant a ban from the post season ......the ban serves 2 purposes .....it penalizes the offending school....and it protects the other schools from being forced to compete with a program that cheats

The spirit of the ruling was ignored by the ALL A.......end of story

  5. No one ever suggested Cordia is the first 9r only school to cheat

My contention is "why does the ALL A Allow a team to compete in the All A which has been barred from post season play by the KHSAA?

Metaphorically speaking, Cordia had its day in court and LOST ..... they were sanctioned because they broke the rules and got caught

What good are rules if they're not enforced?

As for Catholic schools and recruiting, not the same thing at all .....apples and watermelons

  6. Among the penalties imposed by the Commissioner are:

    Suspension of the Cordia HS boys’ basketball team from playing scrimmages or contests during the 2014-15 regular and postseason, as well as the 2016 postseason. During its suspension, the school would be permitted to conduct regular season practices from October 15 until the first allowable day for district tournament play. Included in this penalty is a stipulation that representatives of the boys’ basketball team with eligibility remaining may transfer to specific KHSAA member schools without penalty;

  7. Well geez .....just admit it already

It's harder and harder for David to beat Goliath

It's not about Cinderella ....it's about money and the KHSAA makes a ton off the tournament at the expense of the Cinderellas.

If you can't see the statistical advantage to having 600 more boys, I can't help you

    Try taking a stats class

  8. The very fact that Kentucky doesn't have schools divided by enrollment is what creates the spirit in the State Tournament. A David and Goliath meeting. It's always good if there's an underdog factor. It's not as likely since so many counties have consolidated but it's a possibility.

So you admit.... the consolidation makes it even harder for David ?

    My point precisely
