Among the big names I believe LCA has one of the easiest paths. The two seed from district 7 is the place to be. The northern side has some good teams, the southern side has LCA, Danville, and probably a long shot but Somerset is tough. LCA will have to beat Danville or Somerset, then win a game against an NKY team like Lloyd, NCC or Walton. I hate to take shots at other programs but LCA basically gets a bye til regional play. For Danville or Somerset to come out of the east and win it they will have to play 4 top ten teams starting week 2 of their playoff run.
Yes I agree, Danville and Somerset will beat each other up while LCA will get a running clock that night.

Wireman, Adstimes, I know one thing your Coach Cleverer did a heck of a job last Friday against LCA on that comeback win. You got a great argument with the claim of Coach of the year. And I know that Coach Davis has his young Colts one game away for DeSales first ever undefeated season in school history and it was against a strong schedule too. We're lucky fans to have such coaches to tudor our boys in football and in life.
Very true. I think there are a few that can claim their coach as coach of year Danville Mayfield and Desales. I think Desales and Danville are tops but think the way Clevenger dealt with injuries and a tough schedule gives him one step up.

Player of the Year: D'Mauriae VanCleave; he's the most valuable player
Coach of the Year: Clay Clevenger; he led Danville to first undefeated regular season since 1994 (23 years)
Against imo a harder schedule.
-
Boyle as bad as they want
-
How tall is D'Mauriae VanCleave? I can't find it online for some reason
I think 5'7"
-
I saw Wheatley had 95 yards and nieves 89 but does anyone know how many carries they had a piece.
-
You could argue that by having to play Somerset in the 2nd round the district #1 seed has a harder 2nd game then the #2 seed.
Yes that is much harder draw.
As for me I think the Ads may ha e found themselves after getting down 21-7. Their defense woke up and started getting pressure on nieves and covering receivers better. Offensively it was the van cleave show, I have said it before it is an absolute shame he is t two inches taller. Also this was first game where Christian hill had both hands in a while and man does that make a difference. When he is healthy the defense is so much better.
My question now is if l a can regroup and their mindset going into the rematch.
-
It's hard for me to see any team stopping LCA from scoring. I think they have more weapons on offense than Danville. Note, Neives didn't play last year in the playoffs, he's a big time running threat along with Dillon Wheatley. Danville has got to get David Walker involved, that kid can play. I'm thinking Jaleel Warren will have a good game for Danville also. If Zach Thornton plays well and gets the ball in his play makers hands, it should be a shoot out. I'm still going with LCA with the win.
Nieves was also the quarterback when the ads were one Harris fumble away from a running clock on LCA so his running game does t scare me as much as a passing game.
-
The big question for me is how healthy will the ads be. That's why their defense has been shaky of late .
-
My prediction is these 2 will play each other twice with neither team sweeping the other. Better off winning the second game than the first.
LCA 38
Danville 33
Danville will come back healthy on 11/17 and get the win that really counts.
I think you're right. I think this is Danvilles alarm clock as bad as I hate to say it.
-
I've been looking at that too and was wondering?
Where's thunder1 when we need him
-
Admirals win 27
Eagles 15
If the ads hold LCA go 15 they have been sand bagging all year lol
-
Did Ryan stuckey graduate or just not play this year? Also does Miller get any clock for LCA or is the nieves show?
-
I will say this Danville has also been looking for this game for a while. LCA hasn't played a defense like the one the ads are capable of playing. I also think cleverer knows how to beat LCA after the loss to them last year in regular season. It still doesn't change my opinion I think the Ads may make sure they have a full deck of cards for the one that matters.
-
I hope I am wrong but unless the ads show up I think LCA wins. Danville imo has. Needed a wake up call a d I think they get one this week. LCA 38- Danville 28
-
Too bad Mayfield hasn't played Danville in the last 11 or so years, I think some things might have changed.
I would say they would have lol
-
Cry in my beer moment...From the DeSales perspective, the Colts have a tough chore on an annual basis. We would have to beat CAL (with Carr back in the lineup), Mayfield, and Danville/LCA to win the title. And this year, that road would include a trip to Mayfield. I think Bart Starr and the Packers were the last team to beat them at home in the playoffs. Of course, CAL has the same predicament. I don't think any other team would have as tough of a road starting in the QUARTER finals....
Danvilles record shows they don't mind playing in Mayfield

Boyle wins still not sold on lex Cath. As I said before Boyle is looking like team to beat in 3a
-
start a different thread if this is your debate.
But even still it was the best for Boyle county that woke them up and they are my favorite to win 3a now. I kinda wish Danville would have lost that game cause so cause they have been sleep walking since

Oh now you remember. Both teams shot themselves in the foot.
-
Just for you, I will say it another way. If Boyle has 3 turnovers (like they did against Danville) they will lose the game.
Do you fail to remember the Ads had three costly turnovers.
-
This is simple....
If Boyle plays like they did vs Danville they will lose.
If Boyle plays like they did against John Hardin, Waggener, Wayne, Collins, North Hardin, or Garrard they will win.
It's Fall Break for Boyle so there should be zero distractions for the Rebel program.
Let's Play Football!
Maybe it's because Danville is best team they have played?
-
I think everyone is banged up this time of year, some may have been slowed but I think most of the key players were playing last night. At least I didn't notice anyone missing. Was that the Danville broadcast or the Somerset broadcast?
I was asking if Somerset had injuries before last night and then played last night
-
About what I expected but as a neutral observer I would say that as a Garrard fan you have to be torn on how the team looks. Down 24-0 and you have a 3rd and 22 and you run a dive play. Garrard has enough athletes to open up the offense maybe they should look at that for next year.

What is funny is how slow lca's defense looked. I would be concerned for their defense which I questioned going into game.
