  1. Very entertaining game to watch with both sides showcasing some explosive athletes. Cville has mixed up their offense throughout the year but it is clear that their personnel thrives in the spread. Congrats to Russellville for finding a way to win and it's back to work for cville as they will have the task of replacing a senior group who has brought them back to relevancy in Class A

  2. Without Young, its highly inlikely that Campbellsville gets out of the first or second round alive.

With a win or loss over Bethelem, cville would play Fulton Co. Or Fulton city who have a 1-14 combined record in the first round. If they run into Russellville in round 2 I would agree with your statement. However, I think they beat Bethelem, win two playoff games, and avoid Russellville until round 3.

  3. I like Green and their staff, and have really enjoyed watching the games I've been able to catch.

I want Green to win, but I just don't think they have the horses yet. I think Glasgow wins in the 10-20 point range. Green wins if they can keep drives going.

And thinking a team can't win because they are too 1 dimensional is hilarious. I laugh at that idea. And so does Belfry.

So you're really going to compare Green Co. and Belfry....That my friend is hilarious!! Blowitup put it in a better context. And I'm not saying Green is bad at what they do, but depending on Matney to break away 5-6 times a game is a little unrealistic because other than him they have no real threats.

  4. I also believe there is a fine line to be aware of. I do feel that playing better competition ultimately prepares a team for those regional final games and beyond. However, I absolutely agree that you have to be mindful of the makeup of your team and the stage of your program. I think a nice balance of tough/competitive games mixed with some games in which your the clear favorite are the best to allow your players to be in pressure situations and building an atmosphere of winning every Friday night.

  5. I'm saying this will be a tight one early then Adair pulls away in convincing fashion. I will agree that the speed of the game will pick up for them this week, and I also understand the long road trip will have its effect but they are the better team. I hate to go off of other matchups to base a winner, but Washington Co. beat KCD in week 3 and I was not impressed one bit by Washington's scheme or personnel when they scrimmaged Atherton @ LWC in the pre-season.

  6. Is green struggling this year? I understand c-vile has a good squad this year, but Green seems to be trying to find a groove...

Green is just very one dimensional. They will live or die on the legs of Matney (QB). Hopefully cville's QB will be ok. After losing Young who would have been all-state IMO and possibly the QB they seem to be snake bit. Hate to see this especially with the start cville is off to.

  7. I guess I would fall into the strength of schedule category and believe you also must take into account what classes wins/losses are coming against. For example, Mayfield losing to McCracken should not and will not effect their ranking. I know Mayfield is Mayfield but McCracken is a 6A school while Mayfield has just recently made the move to 2A, so don't think you can penalize them. Another example to look at is Louisville Central who as of late hasn't set the world on fire during the regular season, but year after year they are in BG playing for a state title so to say they should slip in rankings is a little crazy....am i looking at this wrong?

  8. The mystery is that Cville was without RB Kendon Young. Young didn't play against LaRue last Friday for reasons unknown, so it will be interesting to see if he is in uniform against Green. If so, its not a contest and the Eagles roll big time over the Dragons. If Young doesn't play it doesn't change much as far as Cville still being the more talented team, but I do feel it will be much closer than expected against a hungry GC team coming off a loss that nobody saw come to TC. Should be an interesting match-up!
