Wow just wow! Thought the Colonels would be competitive. Didn't see that sense of urgency on offense and is the QB draw the main offensive play?

It’s been way too much of the offense for a few years.   IMO. The option was a newer wrinkle that had some success.
I would have expected some throws/ lobs toWillie against the fast but shorter DBs.  The sweeps and WR screens CC use so much obviously don’t work against that team speed.

  2. I’m not sure Carter is best player Cov Cath saw all year, and if so at  not by a wide margin. Maybe the fastest but that doesn’t necessarily mean the best. He had no or maybe one catch with Miller covering him. He couldn't get a clean release when pressed by Miller.

His speed made for over pursuit and opened cut back lanes    When it was working not sure why PT didn’t stick with it.  I noticed in warmups he did his own thing and he danced off to the  side while the team did their charge on to the field.

    Now to be serious...

I don't see what is so wrong with high school football in Kentucky. Our issues have more to do with the way our population is spread across the state and the number of schools than anything. At this point there are only a handful of schools left that could be consolidated and that wouldn't really fix any of the issues most have.

We have 6 classes due to trying to keep enrollment sizes in each class reasonable.

1A male enrollment is from 84 to 189

    2A is 191 to 302

    3A is 306 to 410

    4A is 414 to 524

    5A is 527 to 737

    6A is 754 to 1192

I thought the 6 classes was in part because the big Louisville schools were so dominant more schools wanted to avoid them in the playoffs.

I would lose the bye to move the playoffs up a week.  Other than that not sure there is a problem to fix.   Did like the suggestion of longer dead period and wouldn’t mind less spring football.  It’s high school.

  4. A lot fewer QB draws this time.  Minus the offsides on two fourth downs and the dropped long ball this would have been or close to 35-0 running clock in fourth.  Seemed like good adjustment after the first two GC drives by the CCH defense to get penetration and stop the run game.  When the QB ran it wasn’t  just up the middle and a nice change from the incessant draws up the gut.  If not for the injuries the game next week could be competitive but it’s going to take a perfect game and some innovative plays to hang I’m afraid.

  5. Being a football fan means watching games stating what you think about it.  Asking questions as a fan about the play calling isn’t turning on the ole ball coach.

My big concern would be he doesn’t feel has the personnel to call something else. And if not showing was the strategy I agree with the above this game was too big not to try. So I don’t think that’s it.

Roll out side the pocket just once with a run pitch pass options?

And the colonels are better than most teams in the state so no panic or anything. But if 40-50% of your plays are QB draws I’m asking why.
