Now it all lines up for the Camels ...
Good call, you were all over it
-
Did the Camels throw Werrman? All the comments about the delays in playing this game was so Werrman could pitch/
-
How about Colton Hartig of Campbell County? Leading returning hitter, Complete Game - Regional championship game winning pitcher, 2nd round State winning pitcher, lost 1-0 State Championship game
-
Eighth Region I would say Roberts at SK. Ninth Region I would say Krumpelbeck at CovCath. Tenth Region I would say Trame at Scott.
LOL, What? How can you possibly even consider Trame in comparison to HOFer's Mac Whitaker or Nelson Faris... Wow, I don't get it.

I don't think all the Freshman from CCHS that beat the Birds on Friday night were allowed to play in this game, wonder how it would have changed the outcome? Is the HHS freshman team better than their Varsity team?
-
Maybe not a marque match-up, but this may well be the best game of Friday night from a competitive standpoint. I've seen both teams play and both have their strengths. Very well may be a game decided in the final minute.

7 Lloyd Memorial
5 Holy Cross (Covington)

Ok, highlights were were frequent when the Birds were doing well, has a scare taken over Ft. Thomas

Sorry but I think they can do something. They can force a pitch county on every school in Kentucky, so why can't the force seeding?
And I repeat, it's the school admins who will vote for it. So, when we say KHSAA can make changes like seeding and pitch counts, those decisions were made by the school admins on committee. So, it's back to the schools. We give the sanctioning body way too much credit for what they can do. It's the reason why there is a middle man, so the schools can make the decision, and let the sanctioning body get paid very well to be the puppet fall guy to the public

I thought Mason County had a pretty good #2, why pull Williams? Is there huge drop off after #1,2?
^ Why take the chance??? You have a proven entity in Williams. We all know that every pitcher has a "Bad Day", so why take they chance for your #2 to have his in the biggest game of your season only in an attempt to get to the "next" biggest game of the season???
-
^ Umm, what kind of answer is that!!! Everyone keeps throwing out the KHSAA as the ruling entity! No there not, the School Admins are. The KHSAA works for the school admins, thus any competition rule, let me rephrase "Every" competition rule, IS dictated by the school Admins!!! You hear this whining about the NFL, or NBA or KHSAA and people think that there is this independent entity out there! BS guys, the entity in this case IS THE SCHOOLS!!!! So people, the KHSAA cannot DO ANYTHING that the SCHOOL ADMINS don't already dictate!!!
-
Was this the worst move of the game???? How about the Royals pulling Williams who had completely dominated the Eagles out after 73 pitches? The reason Trame and Ohmer were o-fer was due to Williams dominance on the bump. Playing for Thursday was the dumbest move in the game from my perspective.

Ouch! Bourbon hosts the 10th Region and they are in street clothes.
-
LOL, umm, it's not Region time. Relax 10th, Mac & Harrison Co. will still be the team to beat in that bandbox with the headlights shining into the opposing teams eyes!
-
KHSAA does not have either game listed as part of Doc
-
Is it right, Greenup is all Jr's (all Sophs in last years title run)?
-
I don't get this, how is Ryle only playing one game?
-
False and I only went back 3 years. They lost last year to Highlands and they lost during the 2013 season. Perhaps you got confused about Covcath not beating Highlands in football at anytime for 10 years?

I know there was an injury that has affected Scott. Has there been others. I'm sure coach Trame is not happy with this start with basically the same roster that they had last year.
-
I know this, I never said otherwise. You said he pitched a no hit shutout, and I was just saying in other words meaning he pitched a no hitter.
Lol, even in kids slang :-)
-
I'm not sure what you mean by "What is up with the Camels this year"? They came into that game with a 4-1 record, lost that game handily, then came back and beat 10th Region preseason #1 Bourbon Co. (have no clue where the poster stated the Camels as the #1, with only 2 returning starters and no starting pitcher from the previous season) and followed that with the Boone win. I'm guessing that the Camels are OK ;-)
Every team has one of those games where nothing goes your way, and the Milford game was that one. As Clyde stated, one game by itself doesn't tell us anything about a team.
-
JV??? Really? If anyone is that good on a JV squad, then why are they not "good enough" to be on the Varsity roster! Not knocking the athletes and coaches who work so hard to develop those athletes that play JV, but JV does not count in the statistics to win District, Region, and ultimately Whitaker Bank Park.
-
So, it's down to Bracken and Mason Co. I guess Harrison Co. & Scott should just hang up the cleats. Come on guys, not a team in the Region feels that the title does not have to first go through Harrison Co. That said, Scott has made it to Whitaker Park the last two seasons, and they are just NOW graduating all of those players who have done it the last two seasons. Scott should blow through the Region uncontested! But, it's nice to talk about others.

I would say my qualifications to "see" are pretty good. One placing a chip on one's shoulder, also causes one to "see" things differently as well.
I've seen people post when their kid is not getting the ball thrown to them, and that causes them to get lost in emotion. It happens I guess.
Drew Rom goes in 4th round
in KY Baseball (High School)

I forget who it was, maybe Snodgrass from the Enquirer, tweeted that he spoke to Rom and Rom confirmed he will sign with Baltimore. As mentioned above, the slot value is in the upper $400K, but that is not the bonus value. Bonus to the 2017 draft pick was $600K, bringing that draftpick, Angels RHP, to over $1M.
