That is awesome. Great play by Coach Richey.
If it’s the play I’m thinking of, U of L ran that play a few years ago. She got it from her brother

I agree with most of this but think it is still girls basketball and many things can happen. Ryle is clear cut number one. I think most nights they are double digits better than highlands also. Senior night always does weird things to teams.
Dixie is struggling. According to KHSAA feed they lost to Boone last night. Great win for Boone but worse loss for Dixie. Dixie does get one seed though so they have to beat Villa or Lloyd to make it to the region. I think Ludlow makes it two years in a row though knocking off St Henry to make it to region.
Holy cross is playing some good ball right now and think they could grind one out against NDA especially the way NDA plays. Low scoring will keep games close and a good, late scoring run from HC could get them a win.
Region is definitely Ryles to lose though. I heard Maddie Scherr still plays there and she is pretty good.
Hasbeencoach, you have me cracking up. All season long
“I can’t wait to see what NDA does against Conner.” Conner loses to NDA by 16 points.
“I can’t wait to see what NDA does against Dixie.” Dixie loses to NDA.
Keep wishing, but HC isn’t beating NDA!

Abby Holtman isn’t Ryle’s leading scorer. Crittenden and Scheer is ahead of her.
Highlands isn’t the “clear” #2. It doesn’t matter how close they played Ryle. Highlands still took the lost. Remember Conner beat Ryle this year. Ryle is a much better team now vs. the earlier in the season. Ryle are the defending state champs and any team in the 9th will have to go through them!
-
Notre Dame beat NCC at Thomas More University to improve to 4-1. NDA was lead in scoring by Macey Feldman and Lacey Bradshaw with 9 points each and Abby Breeze with 7.
NCC was led by Rylee Turner and Madison McCloskey with 6 points each.
Lacey Bradshaw finished with 10 points.

Folks, we have a great game going on here!
-
There are 17 finalists this year.
I think there will be co-winners this year, Wheeler and Schwartz.
-
Kentucky’s Miss Basketball award is presented by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches and Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation.
Only the 17 finalists will appear on the ballot. Unless there some type of write-in process, Harrison or any other player not listed on the ballot can’t win Miss Basketball.

Hopefully Ryle pulls this out but Ive been told that NDA is playing freshmen that play Varsity. Seems kinda weak just to win a tournament.
Yep, it would be weak if NDA was pulling down freshman girls that get significant Varsity minuets just to play in the freshman tournament, but that is not the case. NDA has over 15 freshman girls that play either freshman, JV or Varsity. Only one plays/dresses all 3 and had done that all season long. She deserves to play in the freshman tournament despite earning some varsity minuets throughout the season.
It sounds like it should be a good game!
-
It will be a statement game if Conner beats Ryle, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.
My prediction: School will be cancelled due to the weather and the game postponed. Ryle wins when they play again.
-

Do you think the purpose of rankings is to decide who the best team is? No its mainly to give us all something to talk about. Since we don't seed for the sweet 16 the polls are just a conversation piece.
Here’s a quick conversation piece for you. Conner shouldn’t be ranked number 1 in state and Highlands shouldn’t be ranked number 2.
-
Please keep in mind that only seniors are eligible for the award.
KY has 5 McDonald’s All American nominees this year. I think they have to be considered. They are:
Ashlee Harris - SHA
Mikayla Kinnard - Eastern
Maaliya Owens - Scott County
Kiara Pearl - Eastern
Savannah Wheeler - Boyd County
I also like how Lauren Schwartz - Ryle and Ivy Turner - Danville are playing.
-
I didn't say the best team in the state. I said the new #1 in the polls. Not always the same thing.
What do you think the purpose of rankings??? If you are ranked number 1, then you are the best. There isn’t any higher ranking than number 1. To be the best you have to beat the best!
-
Conner has to prove that they can beat Ryle first. You can’t be the best in the state if you are not the best in your district. They get another shot next week on December 30th.
Highlands not in the number 2 In the State. You have to give consideration to E-town or Boyd Co. first.

Box score
Mount Notre Dame 78, Ryle 58
Ryle (17-2) - Crittendon 2 2 6, McGregor 2 2 6, Johnson 2 0 4, Schwartz 5 2 13, Scherr 9 6 27, Crist 0 2 2. Totals: 20 14 58.
MND (11-1) - Bransford 10 3 23, Cook 3 0 6, Phelia 5 1 12, Marshall 7 0 19, Centrulla 1 0 2, Hoefling 6 4 16. Totals: 32 8 78.
Halftime: MND 35-25. 3-pointers: MND 6 (Marshall 5, Phelia). R 4 (Scherr 3, Schwartz)
-
Should be a good game. I watched MND once last year and early this year I've seen Ryle a bunch. I do find it kinda strange you think with Hoefling & Marshall that stopping Brandsford is the key. Either way hope it's a good one. Last time MND played a top ranked KY team it was a great game with Campbell winning.
Brandsford leads MND in scoring. Around 18-20 points per game. Rebounds well too. All around athlete!
-
MND’s 2022 KK Brandsford is a heck of a ball player. Ryle will have to contain her to have a shot at winning this one.
Hopefully it turns out to be a good game!
-
Does anyone have the box score for this game?
-
Sounds like a good game!
-
How many points did Allie Stone finished with in this contest?
-
Final from Latonia
Unofficially from Holy Cross Radio.
Senior Olivia Crigler led all scorers with 23 points for the Indians. Sophomore Sidney Thomas added 17.
Holy Cross was missing 2 starters tonight but played a nice second half to break open a close game against a nice team. Fern Creek has a couple 8th graders that are going to be good.
* Congrats to first year head coach Marty Rankin with his first win of the season.
That’s a nice first win for HC. Why were they missing 2 starters tonight?
-
Congrats Lauren, I know that you will make the Ryle community and NKY proud!

Missing word
Hey, it’s are favorite guy, HasBeenCoach. Haven’t heard from you in awhile buddy since Dixie or Conner didn’t win. You been missing like Coach Murphy was at the end of the game. It’s odd for you try to stir something up again instead of talking about the game itself. Good Riddance!
